Yeah hacks & demakes are incredible! The Zero hack for mega man X3 makes that game more enjoyable & this demake is immaculate so far! Saw the full stream & I’m a big fan of the extra animation frames added to X

Of course! My only gripe is that they haven't contracted some 16-bit artists/aficionados to remix the soundtrack yet. It IS a demo, I'm aware, but still. That's the only thing I find missing.

@@Leonheart039 We know it's actually a game because the developer has done development streams, showing code and the changes being shown on the fly to the game itself when he recompiles it, and has responded to people chatting and even doing as they've asked during streams before. There was one stream where I asked if you could jump off the side of the airship in X's intro stage, he said no then proceeded to jump off, discovering a camera bug in the process that permitted jumping off in the first place. That would be virtually impossible to have a video for in advance to someone asking a unusual question.

One of the best and overlooked changes is the fact that Retry Chips are no longer a thing, that was one of the annoying things in the original X8, we’re back to traditional lives!

His love for the Light Capsule Theme made me realize X7 doesn’t even have a Light Capsule Theme, which is a crazy because every other X game had one, even X5 reusing X1’s Light Capsule Theme. And don’t forget X7 has no sound effect for when pick up Heart Tanks or Sub Tanks, makes me think did they really rush X7 that much?

NGL I've always thought that the SNES engine/graphics were peak for the X series, and they shouldn't have changed them like they did from X4 and up.

The worst part is that the only reason why we don't have a demo for Corrupted is because the main developer himself hates demos and doesn't see the point of making a demo for a game that's not finished.

This is funny considering that not even a day after this, there was an announcement that someone completed an 'N's Edition' of X7, which supposedly fixes ALMOST ALL of the issues that the community had with X7 on its release on the PS2

I'm shocked by how much I enjoy this demake. Fun, challenging, and the responsiveness is the best part. It legit feels like a Mega Man X game. I played the Mega Man 8 demake and that shit was so sluggish it ruined it. I wonder if Mega Man X Corrupted has been done? I forgot about it and I know it's been in production for almost a decade.

MMXC is still in the works. From what I hear now, the main developer of the project was able to assemble a small team of talented programers and other tech savvy people, so maybe if we're lucky, itll come out before I turn 30! Im 26 rn 😅

I enjoyed X4-X6, but preferred the SNES style. X7 was horrible, but X8 a step up. That being said, this version feels right and is far overdue. The simplicity, yet expansive approach offers so much. This is what attracts me to the CORRUPTED fan game that everyone is dying to play. I’m thankful for these developers. I would love to see X7 receive this same treatment. Possibly even X4-X6 too.

@@jaretco6423 X6 is the next worst after X7, but it’s primarily its gameplay that sucks while the story is decent. The X6 Improvement Project makes it much more enjoyable. I would love to see a 16-bit version like this demake for X8.

At first i wasn't convinced, and i still find the SNES X clash with the pixel art of the new assets. But the game gets super fun, super fast. The ride chaser levels are awesome and the weapons are great fun, one of the best selections since X1. Also a lot of stuff make me think the dev must love X2 a lot, as anyone should.

@@who3730 Agreed. I think they wouldn't need much work to look more like X1-3 assets, and other aspects of the game are spot on. It plays well, the weapons are fun to use...it's great, really. Just one nitpick from me about the graphics.

Quick thing I figured out on accident while playing this is that Blast Launcher is able to destroy spikes in this version. I got Foot Parts H a lot faster than I did in the original because of that

That looks SO GOOD! If they cut down the frustrating parts, this is going to be such a great way to play X8. If it were me, I would put a Weapon Tank too, get rid of the lives system and exit stage without the need to complete or die.

played it, it was pretty fun, but something that disappointed me was that I was hoping that they would do something to fix X8's fetish with spikes and instant dead traps, mostly that bs here 12:36, you are supposed to air dash from the top and continue to slide down and airdash towards the next ledge, it was dumb in the original and it was dumb here, feels like a kaizo hack level and this doesnt include one of the final sigma stages where 90% of the walls are spikes

Nah, Corrupted is a game, it's just not released. An Idea is when a guy takes a video editor, and creates a false video showing what they want to have in the game. The guy who makes Corrupted literally keeps making streams on Twitch constantly showing the code of the game, and he working on the stages and stuff. It's a side project, which is made on his free time and only if he has extra free time. So it will take a loooong time for it to be released, but it's definitely not an idea. It's like saying Persona 3 Reload is an Idea and not a game yet because it's not released yet, you know? XD
