Mega Man Zero 3 (S-rank, All Skills, All Disks/Elves)

An S-rank run of Zero 3 where I get all Ex skills and all disks/cyber elves. I didn't intend to do an S-rank run, just trying to do a video to get Ultimate Mode, but I decided to go for it once I got halfway through the game.
After playing the Zero series again, I must say that Zero 3 is my favorite to play. Zero 2 is filled with insta-death places and gets annoying when the chain rod fails to latch, and the grinding of Zero 1 is completely gone. The story for Zero 3 is easily the best, and none other can live up the final boss in this game.

4:22 For those of you who are wondering which are the exceptions, there are none; it would be more precise to say that there *are* (without the "typically") 10 disks per level. 10 · 16 stages in the game = 160 disks + 20 found in the Resistance Base = all 180 disks in the game. From those 20 disks found in the Resistance Base, 13 can be obtained after beating 1 mission (not counting the opening stage 14:04), 4 after beating the intermission (58:24), 2 after beating Copy X MkII (1:23:53) and 1 after beting the 4 last Gentle Judges (2:08:35). I'm leaving this comment here and not anywhere else for those of you who have come to this video in order to get 100%, like I did myself.

One of the things I noticed that's different on my playthrough of MMZ3 was that after the first mission in the Base on Lvl. 3 he talked with an npc a couple of times. On my playthrough, however, the only person present in that area was the old dude. Do you anything I did to get that, or am I just playing a different version?

@@CyberdustStudios You mean the npcs in the series of rooms to the right? Yeah, those are activated with the e-reader; surely you must have noticed other differences such as the different looking text box or the secret disks being red instead of their usual gray-ish. All those things are because of the e-reader, but since that thing never got out of Japan back in the day, you are not getting them if you are playing on an original cartridge, but if you are playing on either the DS or the Legacy Collection, you can activate them from the main *main* menu (you gotta unlock them in the DS collection, not sure about the Legacy collection). And if you are playing on an emulator, well, I assume there must be a way to activate them, but heck if I actually know. Either way, the e-reader content isn't needed to get the 100%, so don't mind it too much if that's what you are after. Edit: ah I see what you mean now. That guy he talks with in this video *is* the old man; one of the things the e-reader can do is changing him to a younger looking version of himself, otherwise, he is the exact same npc with the same dialogue. Talk to him the same way it is done in the video, and you'll get his secret disks.

This is on the collection. Maybe they did some update or change for the text. I am unsure if there is a significant difference; I didn't think they were too different, but it's also been 10 years since I played them on Gameboy.

Is it just me does it seem like you take a bit less damage in this bundle version of the games compared to original Zero 3?

I'm not sure. I know that they added checkpoints and stuff to make them easier, but didn't notice much on the damage. I may make some videos where I do the originals to the remaster to see.

@@IpseImperator Yeah perhaps take a look. Because I could swear some of those attacks like the the thing that shoots giant cannonballs did much more than 1 bar of HP back when I played on the GBA. A few of the bosses and some of omega zeros attacks also seemed less potent than usual too.
