The guardians couldn’t even last against him and they’re supposed to be among the most advanced and specialized Reploids for combat. There was a good reason why he was called “The god of destruction”. Even in the world of ZX, Omega would’ve decimated it. Until two kids utilizing biometals stopped him of course.

I still imagine till this day a Zero in a OPM manner of demolishing all the bosses in both ZX and ZXA, meaning either Thomas or Albert will rethink their lifes and start humble a new life as simple, small restaurant owners.

@@YuriNoel7 well, I have a theory on the matter: with each generation after the X series, not only the villains, but also the heroes are getting weaker and weaker. Think about it: during the Zero series, the main hero is Zero in an inferior version of his original body, and where his speed and power lack (when compared to his original body) he makes up with his years of experience. Even so, he completely demolishes the Four Guardians, who are copies of X that represent different aspects of X's power and versatility....a robot people already didn't understand how it worked or how was made even before the world turned into a literal wasteland thanks to the elf wars that nearly decimated the entire world population, where life was practically non-existent outside of Neo Arcadia, who was already suffering from an energy crisis, so of course they'll focus on energy conservation rather than scientific advancements. I mean, just look at Copy X, who's supposedly a "perfect" copy of X. As for the regular enemies, their power output is nowhere near as great as it was in the past. During the X series, we had even the most basics of enemies, that go down in one hit, capable of shooting big "f*ck you" lasers/beams, whereas in the Zero series, you don't even see that from the elite warriors of Neo Arcadia (with one notable expection, Heat Gemblem). At most, Weil's expertise is capable of creating mavericks that are nearly on par with those in the past, but I can't imagine even he can do much with the state of technology regressing as a direct result of his actions (and Omega was made prior to the apocalypse, so it doesn't count) As for the ZX series, we have biometals, small pieces of...well...metal, that contain the consciousness of past heroes and villain...yeah, I don't even need to tell you how impossible it is for such small pieces of metal to be able to release the full power output of X, Zero, even the guardians, and Weil. Even IF that were the case, the human/reploids using them aren't even combat models in the first place. As for the villains, we now have pseudoroids, mavericks who harness either the power of the six biometals or tiny, tiny pieces of model W...and I've already made the argument that they can't release the original's full power in the first place, and even IF that were the case, pseudoroids by design can't use a biometal's full power. And it shows, because now even the four guardians are capable of trashing them and the model W megamen around, whereas in the past...THEY were the ones getting trashed around by everybody: Zero, Elpizo with the baby elves, and Omega. As for the ghost of Omega, it's literally just that, a ghost, a lingering consciousness of Omega, not the real deal, having neither the power nor the speed of the original. I'm not talking from a gameplay perspective (because in that regard he's a million times worse than the original), but from a story perspective, because, once again, he's getting trashed by a boy/girl with biometals that don't have the full power of the originals

floricel_112 your theory does has solid ground for it but I somewhat disagree that technology in the Zero series regressed after the era of the X series. Realistically when you look at it the technology during that era just barely stepped forward after the X series as by the time of the Zero series combat reploids did not have the bulky armor plating or the excesses wires around their body like certain Mavericks from the X series. Reploids like the guardians are built slim with armor that looks efficient enough for them to remain protected whilst maintaining their speed. Plus some Reploids from the Zero series could be seen as direct upgrades to Reploids similar to them in the past (Phoenix Magnion is essentially Blaze Heatnix but upgraded), but at the same token we have Reploids are incredibly weak even by X era technology standards (Popla Cocapetri is a weak Reploid who required the aid of a virus made by Weil to even take down an entire city meanwhile certain Mavericks from the X series we’re capable of taking down entire cities just by themselves such as Gravity Beetle in his introduction on the PS1 version of X3) Zero series is the perfect example on how technology just barely scraps by in the middle of a energy crisis in terms of advancement. It’s why in some areas Reploids have been improved but in others they have been toned down either as an attempt to prevent mass destruction these Reploids could be capable of or be cost efficient. As for the Biometals I do fully agree that it’s practically impossible for anyone to fully harness the powers X and Zero had when they were alive (or whichever Biometal based on a Zero series character). Simply put Biometals are only really the data consciousness of these Reploids that is used by their chosen biomatch to harness what I would say 80% of the original Reploids power (and that’s if Model X is involved to boost them up as standalone id say only 50%). Model W is only ever strong since it was originally Ragnarok perhaps one of the most powerful pieces of technological weaponry to ever exist in the Megaman universe. Add to the fact Weils soul is essential fused to it and you have a Biometal capable of mass influence well beyond that of other things such as the Sigma Virus. One last tidbit, for Omega the way I see it is that despite the fact he’s clearly a ghost (more specific a corrupted memory file of him) it’s been theorized that the reason he is even so strong is because that’s how Weil saw Omega in his own eyes. My little take is that it’s also because Aile or Vent are simply children who don’t have nearly the amount of combat experience as Zero did when he fought Omega. To them Omega is like an unstoppable nightmare capable of destroying them in less then seconds. If the battle between them will ever truly be considered canon then the fact they were able to barely scrap by says something about their abilities. Also judging by artwork of Vent and Aile utilizing Model O, Model O seems to drive the user insane with the amount of power it gives (basically Model O is the ultimate power trip) potentially causing the wielder to turn evil if it was overused (because I’d imagine Vent and Aile only ever using Model O in extreme situations where it’s power is necessary). Sorry if I ended up typing a lot, I’m a huge fan of the X, Zero, and ZX series and I’m a massive lore nut when it comes to these games. Once I start talking about the lore and theories I end up not being able to stop. That how much I love these series.

Sadly that is not a possibility, because... reasons. If you switch off Model L, while the Ice Dragon is out, it will de-spawn. Same with the electric orb of Model H, or the bullets from Model F. There is also the problem that most character states do not allow switching. Such as dashing, wall jumping or wall clinging, crouching, at any point of any attack, and others. So as cool as that WOULD be, Megaman ZX just doesn't allow the very thing it makes an incentive for.

Fx because the projectiles de-spawn and the punches have long endlag, and Px is borderline useless switch or no switch (also the projectiles de-spawn)

Model OX's overdrive fully charged buster is the same thing as Model X's full charge (which is Model X's only interesting thing) except it charges much faster and getting hit cancels overdrive as well as your charge, and the latter is a really minor difference. OX's buster in overdrive even deals just as much damage (12 bars) per full charge as a perfect hit from Model X's. As a result, Model OX obsoletes both X and ZX if you're not too clumsy with dodging.
