When ZX first came out, I played it as I was going through an especially difficult and long season. I wondered if the burn would ever end. This song reminds of that time. Like Vent, no matter the loss of the past, no matter the pain of the present, you keep moving forward toward the light. There are still people who need help.

This is clearly the ending credits theme to the anime that Innocence is the opening theme to.

If you listen to the original soundtrack, you can hear remixes of some tracks from megaman zero. The beginning of Dance Macabre is remix of "X the legend" and this theme is an omage to Departure.

If we ever get a remastered version of Megaman ZX in a home console like in PS6, I hope they put all the remastered tracks in. This piece is amazing and it conveys the feeling of despair better than the DS could ever do. Listening to this feels as if you're looking at an actual bombing run of a city by mavericks. You can almost hear the cries of people getting killed. The anguish, pain, destruction and despair... It's perfect.
