Less fuel to land on Moon? While Moon requires less delta-v, it lacks the atmosphere that could be used for aerobraking, that's a massive addition of delta-v. NASA's number for landing on the Moon is 6.1 km/s, while Mars TMI is around 3.6 km/s.
