Subscribe to help us reach 600k:) *Important updates below* *Note* 23:55 the observers on the bottom right piston tower should be on the slime/honey, not next to the tower of pistons:) its not an issue though, since they'll get picked up once that piston wall activates. *Note 2:* 39:29 you'll have a block left over above the glazed terracotta, next to your comparator. this is intended and how the farm is supposed to be. this only happens on mangrove mode and doesn't affect anything! The proper activation is at 1:46 *note 3:* 36:06 you need a button under the leftmost part of these walls, it should be right above a piece of redstone. this will stop branches/logs from generating and cutting the redstone line. Do this for the front/left/right walls.

In case anyone's wondering, you need at minimum a 50×60 area to build the entire farm. The chunk middle is NOT in the middle of this buld area! I recommend the world download and looking at it for yourself, it makes it much easier to figure out where to put in your world

Were you able to get it working? I can't check the world download but I have triple checked everything and my right wall just doesn't work. Individually they all work but as soon as I link in the right wall things get pushed and pulled where they aren't supposed to. Wondering if I'm missing something or if it's not properly working anymore.

If you're building this in Survival, be *very* sure that you don't leave any temporary blocks you've used while building. I relied heavily on dirt blocks to help me scaffold and place the live blocks, but I ended up leaving 3 total pieces of dirt in the piston walls. I could not figure out why just two of my walls would break after a few runs, after triple checking all of the wiring and even rebuilding the brain. Removed those three dirt blocks, and not a single failure since. Amazing tutorial, just be very careful!

Just built this and works like a charm some notes 1. 18:45 make sure there's bonemeal in both dispensers 2. 18:57 he placed 3 dispencers but there should be 2 droppers (facing upwards) then 1 dispenser (facing towards the side as shown in the video) 3. 23:53 you will notice that in the right piston wall, the observers are on sticky piston instead of slime and honey but its fine either way, as he mentioned this in the pinned comment 4. idk why but everytime it turns day the farm clocks so if its night time and im far away from the farm (like 5-6 chunk away) then i sleep it will clock and break the farm. so make sure to create a backup:)

18:57 make sure there's 2 dropper and one dispenser Make a small Propagule farm then put some Propagules in the dispenser then turn on Propagule dispenser then it should be working Or you can just have a lot of Propagules in your inventory from the farm, id recommend building the JC's mangrove Propagules farm

@silentwisperer at 29:58, you add two redstone to the tops of the blocks in front of the 4 tick and 2 tick repeater. The world download only has it on the block in front of the 4 tick (left one when looking at the blocks from the repeaters) This breaks the timing of the walls and causes the pistons to get stuck to the redstone and get pulled out of place.

Hi I think my farm has the same problem . It works at first but after a few trees it completely breaks and some pistons get pushed/pulled by some other pistons I did what you said (I removed one of the redstone dusts) but it still breaks 😕 Do you have any suggestions on how I can fix it?

My back wall and left wall keep getting messed up, pistons get messed up and honey blocks get messed up when doing the final test with the gold blocks. Gold gets pushed into the middle of the right wall, displacing the terracotta and observer behind it.

You guys did it! I started working on a design a while ago but just got frustrated with it and never went back to it. My first design was going to use a large water pit below the grow area so that you could only grow the mangroves at max height, however that method just seemed to use way too much bonemeal. If bonemeal would of grown it every time we wouldn't of needed to deal with the roots at all. Only the top part of the tree would of needed to be harvested. Again Great Job!!!

So far, it's only experimental. It isn't confirmed to be in the current update or the next. For now, until further announcement, it might not end up being implemented at all for all we know, though the chances of that are slim.

We got it! At our survival server it took a day to collectively gather materials and then 3 days of building. Out of that 2 hours of troubleshooting and finding the ONE missing block that prevented double cycle! This refreshed the server and everyone was fond of this big project. It produced some 9 stacks of mangrove logs before one side broke. I suspect it does not like lag. Take it easy on the planting speed. Thanks for the tutorial. Incredible work. Watching this operate is absolutely mesmerising. I love it.

@@krisgosney117 easiest to go to spectator and follow the circuit from the left lever. It ends in a piston that when extended closes the double action circuit (many repeaters for delay)

Thanks for another great build Silent! Just built this on my SMP, and I'm having an issue with the left wall. The upper half keeps getting stuck out in a weird place. I've been troubleshooting for hours but still haven't figured it out. I'll keep at it. edit: It was one piston out of place. xD There's also a few inconsistencies in the video to note. 19:00 you say dropper and place a dispenser, checked the world download it is in fact a dropper. At 13:25 there's a block to prevent canoodling. At 18:28 this block has been removed. This block is required for the walls to double fire properly in mangrove mode.

For the testing at around 37-38 minutes, which levers (if any) should be flipped while testing the farm? EDIT: For anyone wondering!!! All levers should be off (or at least, the testing worked for me) AND it should be testable at night as well as day (though id avoid dawn and dusk because idk and it scares me) My issue was a single repeater at 2 ticks instead of 1, and a missing block. If you're having trouble, hang in there! It's probably something really small and annoying lol. Mine didn't work for a while after two successful tests, and after throwing in the towel for the night and changing projects... sleeping set it off! So I still have no idea what specifically was wrong that second time around, but I got it working.

I have spent the last week building farms to gather the materials for this build (4 failed slime farms lol), 5 nights wasted AFK at uncorking farms. Keep in mind I have a full time job so it was only hours in the evenings and night time! As of writing this comment, I have finished the farm and it work perfectly. Undeniably awesome tree farm, but gotta admit, half the time while watching I was thinking, "yes... but what does it mean?? Why??" I think this farm in particular (not to mention a few others you've done) would be a perfect opportunity to get into the advanced workings of bedrock redstone. I totally understand, for brevity's sake, doing the "it works, just trust me!" But, I honestly would've been fine watching a 3hr video if it explained why everything is done the way it is. How about a series about reverse engineering these mega farms to fundamentally explain how and why they work? Clocks, latches, flipflops, multiplexers, timings.. there's so much you can teach your audience. I know for a fact that my kids (myself as well) would love it. Yes, it's been done before, but majority of it is for java, or only shows the absolute beginner basics. Plus, the way you explain things would make it plenty fun and entertaining. Truly Bedrock: Education Season 0 for 2024? 😉

I see where you are heading with this. We've built this and I had to go in spectator mode through all the lines several times in the tutorial world, to figure out what these do and why mangrove mode does not work in our build. This troubleshooting will push you to get understanding of the circuits. Still, I would personally enjoy more of advanced redstone videos as per your suggestion.

For those of you who are experiencing issues where the "front" wall messes up the "left" wall during the second round of piston firing when Silent does the "plus" test fire...i found a fix. At 32:14 , extend this platform by one more and have the raised block at the end of that. The sticky piston stays in the same place. This allows you to put one more repeater on 1-tick. To complete the circuit, put redstone on the raised block and two redstone connecting to the repeaters heading back to the right.

@@ramsarchitect1615 my underground lab has a skylight, you will need one for it to work. You might be able to tinker a bit to make it work without them though. Maybe using an observer would work, you’d have to find a good spot to put it though.

Each time, five logs are left along the right interior wall, attached to the bottom of the slime and honey blocks column on the left. And when the next tree gets grown, the back wall breaks. Then the right wall. You're my only hope!

In case you wondered it's really easy to build except the redstone circuit in the core and the resources, but it's pretty simple.

Ok, keep in mind that I have the exact same set of starting conditions each time I try to test it. I always make a copy of the same world and use that to test the build. every time it activates with the gold plus sign, it breaks in a new way. Sometimes it can take 3 gold plus signs before breaking, sometimes it breaks the first try. each time it breaks, it is always in the lower 4 slime block/honey block piston machines in the left piston wall. I don’t know why it breaks differently every single time, with the same exact starting conditions. I have no idea what is happening, and i have triple checked all of the redstone for the left piston wall.

I know you've likely been drowning in requests for it, but with 1.21 coming out and changing TNT drops to 100%, you should show how to convert your cubemakers across your farms into TNT chambers.

This is the best. Waiting this since mangrove got introduce in the game. Edit: Unfortunate for me, my back piston wall pull the left redstone wall out when Im testing the Plus sign. I rebuild the back and left section, check the timing still same result😞. Probably because of lag. This happen if I flick OFF the left bottom lever, but works if I flick the lever ON, nothing messed up. I had to stop the build. Cannot take the risk anymore. Have to save some materials. Well, I have to go back to manual farm then.😂

Important if you run this farm with mangrove make sure you only have 1 prop in your inventory if you want to afk it if you place another one before you get dispensed one the farm will most likely experience minor breaks on the piston walls idk why but it’s happened to me

built this in my survival world and for some reason every few trees some of the stick pistons that pull the logs so they get pushed towards the cubers will get stuck out and pushed by the pistons any idea how to fix this as almost 100 percent positive timings are all right

@@gitsumgaming1533 I think on ALL consoles the farm doesn’t work because of lag issues but if you play on a good pc the farm will work

@@Astro_RFL makes no sense why I had 4-5 full harvests with no issues and now all of a sudden it’s an issue.. I checked everything with a fine tooth comb and every time now the one side breaks

At 18:28 does the solid block. Have to be there to cut the redstone earlier in the tutorial you show it there the cutscene just before the scene shows it but then it doesn't show it here??? Please help. This is my third time building it

Alright. Nearly done! Im just having some issues with the droppers. The redstone dust on top is staying powered, locking the hoppers up. Once thats solved i think ill have this thing up and running! Edit: i installed an on off switch at the redstone lamps, and those lamps were powering the torch under the redstone! Just had to reset it by clicking that butten and we are all good. Its testing time:)

Probably just avoid plains biomes cause of beehives on oak trees:)

If you want max birch, you could build this farm in an old growth birch forest and then you would also get some taller birch trees. Otherwise like Silent said avoid plains, beehives are great at breaking tree farms. My workaround for the beehives is that I typically only use an azalea tree farm if I want oak.

I encountered a problem while planting mangrove trees. When planted, the piston wall will repeat as much as 3x which should only be 2x and cause the left piston wall to fall apart. Does anyone have a solution? I tried rebuilding but still having the same issue

Did you ever find a solution to this I'm having I think the same issue?... The left wall just gets all wonky I've literally been checking it over and over all day checked all the Redstone and everything all day. Everything else works but I'm really confused by what's causing the issue

Just discovered there's a single large 7 block tall oak tree but it's very very rare but it literally just broke my farm. It usually breaks the left wall sticky pistons and slimes that push logs out of the farm, so the last of the 3 slime columns on the right side of the left interior wall...

37.46 this was what left me confused for hours. There should be a block above the redstone at the intersection. He does tell you earlier in the video but its not there at that point. Which made me think I needed to get rid of it. Also he has slabs above the observer he was placing which confused me also as couldn't work out what was wrong. So happy I got it working in the end. This is just incase anyone gets confused as easy as me

I finished building yesterday, it works for spruce, birch, oak, jungle Acacia I guess (didn't test) and Mangrove kind of worked, but it didn't 2 cycle. When I was testing it all, it did 2 cycle, but now there are a lot of logs left that block other mangrove trees from growing. The propagule farm doesn't work for me, so I just added a small propagule farm next to the farm. I will do some more testing in a creative copy later, but this farm is still really cool. Thank you so much! I appreciate the effort you put into this! Edit: I now got it to work after some testing! I just have to manually remove one log on mangrove mode, as it always gets stuck in the middle and blocks other trees from growing. Acacia works fantastically. Everything works, except for the propagule farm. I

For the prop farm to work - make sure there is bonemeal in both the top and bottom dispensers

For the people that found problems with the farm cycling after you sleep you can connect an redstone line to 1 of the closest farm security line and 1 line to the piston at the back (BE CAREFULL WITH THE OTHER REDSTONE IN THE FARM THAT IS POWERING THE PISTONS [ DON'T CONNECT SOMETHING BY MISTAKE ] hope that helps (I don't speak english as my main languge so,I'm sorry for some mistakes)

hey silent, absolutely love this farm works like a gem ! ❤ I have just one question though, because if i dont use this farm for maybe 15 days, and aleep through the nights it gets kinda messed up, with the redstone, pistons, slime and all that getting messed up and pushes around, is there something up with that or does it just happen and I have to continually manually fix it every time this happens. I've just built the core of the farm and when doing the plus test, it works the first time, but the second time it works fine until the last fire where the left and front wall break. I guess I'll just have to rewatch the tutorial but if anyone knows a solution could you let me know? *EDIT:* When doing the plus test, it fires four times and doesn't leave a block on top of the glazed terracotta in front of the comparator which is weird. It is on the fourth fire when the left part of the front wall fires again after the right part of the front wall firing. I'm going to try and figure out why it's firing 4 times *EDIT:* The Daylight Detector under the comparator in my build is activating twice while the one in the world download only activates once. I don't know why, as the extension sequence is exactly the same on mine *EDIT:* Found the issue! I was missing the block in front of the two repeaters at 30:51. This caused the daylight detector activating twice, activating the walls four times. I checked everything including this like 50 times but didn't notice it. If you have any issues I highly recommend making a creative copy of your world and exporting your farm into a structure file and then importing it into the world download so you can compare your build with the world download one.

@silentwisperer i made the farm and it works great except for the mangrove acacia ect. the issue seems to be the front set of pistons that pull the wood out and push it away. ive noticed that the issue being that when extending the slime and honey block wall rapidly this causes the slime and honey pillar to be delayed by a second or two before extending with its counterpart, thus grabbing the Redstone block and breaking its self. i downloaded your world and have noticed some differences from the video and i made those adjustments but still having no luck. when it has to only extend once works flawlessly but twice and it breaks. any help or solutions would be much appreciated. i also noticed that the farm seems to be firing 4 times instead of just 2

Hi silent! The Farm works Great! But i recognised 3 pistons always end up in the wrong spot. Could you help me please this would mean a lot to me? Besides the 3 pistons EVERYTHING works perfectly.

On the left and right wall the sticky pistons that do the final pull keep on getting pulled apart by the other parts. Both sides worked when the were single how can I fix this? I play on a switch and I assume this might be from lag

Second time building the farm works great first attempt wasn’t sub chunk aligned and it did not work big sad so I had to tear the whole thing down and rebuild it womp womp

Have you checked to see if sub chunks effect it when I built the center of the farm 3 of the 4 parts that push the wood out work every time however the one that uses the right walls circuit isn’t working for me it sometimes activates the honey and slime parts at the same time and sometimes activates one first

Silentwisperer at 37.50 when i place the observer and test it it works but the 2nd time the piston doesnt pull the observer back so it doesnt work😢. Do you know how to fix this please

The daylight sensors not working when the daylight cycle is off makes a bit of sense, if there's no night and day they technically have nothing to detect and the devs probably weren't expecting them to be used to detect it changing from light to dark (or vice-versa) in a world where that shouldn't happen. They probably didn't even think about them being used like this lol.

I have gone back and forth more than 30 times to build and complete, but for some reason some of my wall's sticky pistons have had errors and instead of going with them. The others stick to the red stone block of the next wall, I don't know the reason, is it due to the new version causing an error or is it because my phone can't load too many stone blocks? red at the same time, this makes me quite sad because I spent a lot of effort to complete it🥺

Hight: I count 29 blocks. The space this monstrosity needs is 3x3 chunks (48x48) plus an extra chunk on the west side (middle), plus a one block row on the south side (the eastern chunk). Basically counting chunks it’s 9 in a square with two extra, one on the west side and one on the south side. Building it facing south of course (why make it easy to talk about haha)

I'm in the end-stage of the main center section build, and I've had it partially activate twice and bork all the slime/honey and pistons all up! Turns out, a skeleton was trapped in the middle and shot the target blocks a couple times. I swapped them out temporarily with a different block until I'm ready to get it up and running!

could the vines growing off the mangrove be what keeps breaking my farm? works amazing, i leave it for a bit then it breaks almost immediately, (broken piston walls). I go to back up world, works amazing, then repeat.
