South Park was a show created in 1997 by co-creators, Matt Stone and Trey Parker. They were college friends who had created a film in the early 90's, via their own private investors, entitled: Cannibal The Musical. It was later picked up by Troma and distributed on DVD. Later in their careers, South Park creators, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, created a short entitled "The Spirit of Christmas", which was distributed on VHS and passed among the 'Hollywood Elites' in the industry and later discovered by the likes of George Clooney, and other creatives who passed it around and gave them their "in" into Hollywood they needed to get their show picked up on Comedy Central. Since then, they've had a successful 20 year career...
