Try ENTER THE GUNGEON Garrett - i notice you like playing metal gear survive so i assume you like the co op survival games. If you havent played WORLD WAR Z, do it. If you have, check out HELLDIVERS. Shawn - since you're such a fan of crime podcasts and are so interested in killing and murder, try UNTIL DAWN or DETROIT BECOME HUMAN

FOUR game recommendations: Derrick: Slay the Spire - Deckbuilding adventure roguelike, I think Derricks enjoyment of complex indie titles makes me think He'd enjoy that. Rocco: The Witcher 3 - Rocco likes RPGs, I feel like Rocco would probably have interesting takes on the game. But its many peoples game of the decade. Shawn: Minecraft - I know that sounds dumb, but its on switch, you can play with your kids, and its legitimately a really fun game that I still drop into regularly to relax and play with friends. You and your kids could build a pretty cool home base in the game with your Quarantine time. Garrett: The Metro series starting with Metro 2033 - I feel like it would fit well with the themes of the games on the PPS, its a post-apocalyptic survival adventure game in the underground tunnels of russia. It gives me mad Resident Evil meets Fallout vibes.

First Season of Westworld was almost entirely character development because everyone knew the entire plot before they watched the first episode. The characters change themselves more than the world around them. I don't think Rocco got what people were surprised about. I agree otherwise though.

I loved both seasons of Westworld. Westworld and Dark are two of my favorite shows in a long time. I just love how both shows really don't hold your hand at all and just dives deep into their mythos and world. They remind me of classic anime where they are confusing as hell and they don't care if you don't get it on the first viewing.

konami literally has no reason to sell their IPs, The whole point of making a metal gear/silent hill pachinko for example rather than a regular one is to differentiate it from the other machines. The most I'd see them doing is licensing them to sony but never out right selling.

Westworld 2 is just like MGS2. Doesn't fit anywhere on its own, needs a conclusion, but still unexpectedly good. Needed a lot more tasty nudes tho.

I nearly stopped watching season 2 of Westworld when they went on this absolutely pointless tangent in the Feudal Japan land. I did power through and it developed alright, and I liked the twists and the out of order timeline, but that Japan land subplot added almost nothing to the story and felt like Anime cosplay.

Disagree entirely with your take on Westworld season 1 Rocco. Of course it was gonna end up with robot revolution, what I didn’t know was how or why. And the last episode and last scene is a master stroke in twists and recontexualising a character with Ford, as a depiction of a flawed god. Going from being terrifying and controlling to being shown to be a romantic revolutionary, a misanthropic humanist (or hostist I guess?) and an artist who truly loves his works. Season 1 is self contained and perfectly tight. I don’t know what season 2 wanted to say. It had a lot of cool stuff but it lacked the punch and cohesion of season 1 to me. The non linearity didn’t earn itself I guess

rocco season 2 of westworld gets shit for awful writing, not the heady sci fi stuff most people liked, the action was abysmal not because it was shot bad (it looked great) but characters did the most eye rolling cliche and overall stupid shit that didn't happen in season 1 except for a couple of scenes because the writing was tighter but i think the creators were more interested in showing us wacky cool thoughtful stuff rather than getting their organically which really let it down.

Derek you might as well just stopped the outsider now the 1st 3 episodes of great but then after that the show literally goes nowhere and spins its wheels for the next 5 episodes until it concludes with one of the most anti climactic nonsensical endings I've seen in a TV show in a long while
