Battle against a [[BIG SHOT]]
Experimenting with Earthbound style again! The instrumentation is pure Earthbound, however the arrangement was inspired by "Battle against a weird opponent" and Mother 3. I didn't stick myself to the limitations of the original harware for the sake having a more "complex" remix, hope you don't mind. btw, my apologies for the low quality battle background, I couldn't find a better one :(

This seems like what would play if Spamton was still sane. This rendition of NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO BE feels less like a boss theme and more inviting, like a friendly spar. It feels more like it's own thing than an actual remix, with NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO BE and BIG SHOT as inspiration, which is what I love so about it. It is very obvious that you have complete mastery over the SNES soundfont. This sounds more like it's from Earthbound than from Deltarune. Overall 10/10 remix, i love this.

I love how most of the comments agree that this is basically Spamton's theme before everything came crashing down around him, because to be honest, it really is. What'd make it better is if he was normal sized as well in the little earthbound fight sequence you have going there. That is, if that one theory of him getting dunked in the acid river and shrinking IS true. He's tall, got on a nice suit with a fancy little red bowtie, in the middle of a call, top of his game, a real [BIG SHOT].

@@jhonycoolj8192 him being dunked is a theory, but personally i dislike it: - him being unusually short represents how he was looked down on before he made it big - a common support for the theory is his line about "it burns! help me", but in the japanese translation, the word choice there relates to blinding light. this fits a lot better with his obsession with "heaven" which is implied to be the dark world - people also point to him talking about vacationing in burning acid, but people who live in queen's mansion probably ride on the swan frequently. - overall, the theory is much less in character and narratively cohesive than the alternatives.

Okay, now I _know_ I'm not crazy. I found this weird little gremlin guy in some weird alleyway place in Moonside. For some reason, Jeff wasn't in my party, I think he might've been talking to that guy with the golden tooth, I dunno. The exact reasoning they gave escapes me at the moment. So I'm going through the alleyway and this guy pops out of some neon dumpster and prattles on about being the "[[Number 1 rated salesman 1997]]"? 1997 didn't even _happen_ when MOTHER 2 released, let alone EarthBound! The guy's _really_ resistant to PK Flash, so don't bother. Might be 'cause of the glasses. He's also resistant to hypnosis and paralysis from what I can tell. So the weird thing about this guy's fight is that he _never shuts up!_ Sure, a few bosses talk in the middle of their fights, but he's going on every 5 seconds about some "SPECIL DEAL" or some shit. He spelled "special" wrong every single time. It _had_ to be intentional, right? He's got this whole spam email thing going on. Shockingly "current" for 90s Nintendo, though. Not necessarily _now_ current, but... you get it. So every now and then throughout the battle, he asks you a question and you have to pick yes or no, which is bizarre even for EarthBound standards. I know my way around this game, but considering I didn't even know this guy was a thing until recently, is there any other boss that uses dialogue choices mid-battle? On the topic, I haven't seen this guy documented anywhere. Not even on starmen.net! Anyway, as I was saying before the tangent, I think if you take his deals without giving him too much of your money (Though my cash on hand never once dipped, so I dunno what's going on there) he'll do something, but I didn't get that far, I beat him pretty early. He complained and then I never saw him again. Probably gonna go back and figure out what the hell was going on there later.
