Where was it at? I saw Slayer with Venom and Exodus at the Hollywood Palladium in April 1985, then I saw Venom in '86 with Exodus and Hirax in Santa Monica Civic. But I remember waiting for Slayer to play again. Was this the show at the Olympic Auditorium?

Mid 80's - early 90's was best times in Metal (OverKill, Megadeth, Slayer, Exodus, and those German monster thrash bands:Kreator,Destruction, Sodom) Wish i could go back, when i was teenager.. Those were great times.. All the time came great metal albums... Metal is not so good anymore, 100 000 bands sounds similar... Fast drumming, double pedals and so on

I saw them at the Ritz in NYC when they were still fresh and in the "opening act" phase in the 80s. Bobby Blitz was out mingling with the crowd after their set and my bestie and I ran after him all over the club trying to touch his hair. His locks were AMAZING! And they were actually a great band - played especially well live (which was never a given - how many thrash bands I saw that just sucked on stage, can't even count)
