Cool upgrade! A month ago a installed a Litepro carbon handlebar to my Tilt 500, and I didn't know that they make seatpost too. Besides that, I changed the rear derailleur, shifter, Litepro crankset and Shimano V-Brakes.

Cool ! Which LitePro crankset did you fit? I have had trouble finding one because with the first one I got, the crank arms hit the rear fork leg.

@@BenNorway sorry for the delay, I bought a Litepro with BCD 130, 52T crank. It is hollowtech and includes a generic BB. I had to install it with 3 spacers (2 on the drive side)

What rear derailleur did you use? I also have a T500 and want a cassette with 11 teeth in the fastest gear, as I understand it, I need a T900 backwheel to fit such a cassette, together with new derailleur and shifter?

That is a cool bike and the upgrades are very interesting. A few friendly sugestions: I think if you remove the mudguards, you can save about 300 grams. Also the folding pedals are kinda heavy - 466 grams. With some small and light pedals, but not foldable (DECATHLON BTWIN Pédales vélo 24, 26 et 28 pouces noir = 250gr), you can save about 200 grams.

Excellent input. I weighed the weeks without the tires and inner tubes, and it really were quite light weight wheels on there from the beginning. Do not much to gain from the wheels apart from possibly a few grams on the cassette.

Seatpost is good but I have to ride it more to be able to tell if the flex is in it or in the saddle

Nice upgrades! I took a look at the LitePro website looking for a seatpost, I have the Tilt 120 and the seatpost is 31.6mm, which I believe is the same as your Tilt 900, but which size did you bought? Because I can't find that same size in their website. Greetings!

Dear Ben, very inspiring, your Tilt900-tuning. I'm just upgrading my T-900 as well and can show you my results soon. I have two comments: first, I can recommend another, smaller and lighter back light from Decathlon (Aurora SG-6115T). It has even a braking light-function. Regarding the front light I am totally unhappy with the integrated solution in the frame: the light angle is to high, lux is to low. Do you have an idea to replace it with another elegant alternative? Alternatively I think about assembling a brompton socket for bags... but how exactly...? Thank you for your further inspiration.
@BenNorway3 жыл бұрын
wonderful, please share your results. I am just now waiting for a new crankset from SRAM to see if I can remove another kilo. The lights are not feeling solid although I am quite OK with the read one that can be smaller as you say. THx!

Did you have to cut a piece from the pipe to install the new handlebar?
@BenNorway2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I did. I think I took off 3 cm from the top, just under the part that was used to clamp the original handle bar.

How much did you save weight with replacing tyres?
@BenNorway3 жыл бұрын
Ca. 100 grams for each tyre and 30 grams for each inner tube. I use Maxxis Ultralight tubes.
