Amazing how recruiting an amazing Drummer can change the whole dynamics of you're band and songwriting...James Hetfield should take note, and finally bury the corpse of Lars once and for all. I remember Rob Cavenstany from Death Angel saying the very same thing when they recruited Will Carroll, he said his style of drumming led DA back to their roots and made them want to make heavier, faster songs, I believe Adler did just that for Mustaine.

This is one of the best tracks I have ever heard from Megadeth. There's a nice variety of riffs and time signatures with solos that are neither too flashy nor bland. The pacing is perfect, the musicianship is excellent, and the build up to 2:29 and then the transition to breakneck thrashing is simply awe-inspiring. Add Dave's raging snarls and you have a metal masterpiece. Endgame was a very good album, but I have not seen this level of greatness from Megadeth since Rust in Peace. This is a metal classic in the making.

Dave, David mostly wrote it and Chris made adjustments with his parts and brought his own ideas. I'm willing to bet Kiko did to after all he plays a piano piece on Poisonous Shadows.. So he's clearly contributed more than Broderick ever did. I think the solo he's done on this song is better than everything Chris did except 44 minutes which was his best solo overall.

+Ironman52398 I'm not loving the new 5FDP. I loved their first few, but for me they aren't growing musically. the lyrics are predictable the songs follow the same design. This is just my opinion. I am looking forward to new Anthrax material as well.

Endgame is good but everything sounds a bit too similar. United Abominations is great but this is just a bit greater. System has Failed is good but I was never too terribly into it. This album just hits all the right marks for me in terms of what I want from modern day Megadeth

I can't wipe this huge grin off my face. The production quality is pretty kickass. Chris Adler's amazing as usual. Kiko's guitar work gives Megadeth a new sound and Dave as usual is writing some catchy thrash riffs. This is definitely shaping up to be a follow-up to Endgame and a great album. I like how there's some Lamb of God flavor added in, it just gives it a modern feel while still being Megadeth. Nice work on the vocals too, sounding really crisp, Dave. Hopefully your brothers from Metallica are able to step up this time, so that I have two great albums to hammer through for the next year.
