I owned a cassette copy of Skin O' My Teeth live in 1993 and the B-side was Symphony (gristle mix). This was the first release of the Reznor/ Megadeth mix tapes that I was aware of but I could be wrong, "Sid" was hanging around alot back then. But I do remember listing to it and thinking Holy Shit! Because I didn't think Symphony of Destruction could get better!

This was on Rawtime / DaveTV in 1992. New at the time. The mix itself is Chris Vrenna. Produced by Reznor aka stumpy.

I remember watching that I think. Wasn’t this also called the ‘aggro mix’ or something like that? This was the summer of the Choose Or Lose campaign since we had the election coming up, and Dave was involved in that. I remember James or Lars goofing on Dave for doing that and thought that was pretty lame. Making fun of someone for voting is like making fun of somebody for reading or getting an education.

There are 2 versions of this track that were used as B-sides. There's this version, and then the unedited version that is like 9 minutes long. Very cool for a listen or two. There's also a remixed version of Holy wars done in this style which I also recomend listening to.

@@megadejv8883 The version is Reznor and Vrenna from NIN. I think the original holds up and above anything in the sellout catalog.

Megadeth inspired Pantera? Likely. The remix itself is Vrenna. Early NIN was heavily Ministry inspired. Artist back then were in competition to have the loudest most raw sound by mixing a lot of still early tech coming of age. Plenty of exploration and discovery alongside imitation, a reverse of what we see today.
