24 Hours of Le Mans 2019 Test Day Pure Sound !

Hi guys ! New video from the Test Day of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2019. You'll see some various shots recorded during the morning session. As last year, a lot of Porsches are here to make your ears bleed, but for me the thundering Corvette is in a league of its own ! Enjoy the sounds and the video ! ;)

Personally I've always loved the sound of a well tuned V8 so its the Corvette's for me. But I will honestly say I don't think the 5.5L's they currently use sound anywhere near as good as the old 7.0L's that the C5R's and C6R's used. Those 427's had an awesome sound.

Ive been hoping and praying for Mazda to build an RX-9 and race it in GTE-PRO, maybe they will save us when the Corvette's and Porsche's are turbo'd next year :(

@@joeygold24 Nothing would please me more than to see another 4 rotor power their prototype class... alas, its not in the cards. We've seen the last of the rotaries in the 90's. We'll see a rotary again in production. But it won't be powering the wheels. And it'll be a single rotor which will be a generator for the EV mechanicals... I can still hear the 4 rotors barreling down the straights of LeMans!

The only high rpm racing engine notes I’d put above those Porsche’s is the beautiful, the magnificent, the GOAT of high rpm engine notes.....Drum roll...........ladies and gentlemen......The Mazda 787B. On the other spectrum my goodness those Vettes sound and feel great. Love hearing the Vettes and Porsche’s together going by. They are on opposite ends of the sound spectrum but they both make your ears rejoice.

Here's another factoid- the 911 RSR is the only "factory" car in the series- it starts life as a real 911 and modified from there. The rest of the GTLM's are tube framed cars built by specialty shops- even Ford and Corvette.

That Porche RSR is powered by N/A Flat 6 engine.Thats why it sound so good.I have to say Porche created nice beautiful engine.But unfortunately it changes the exhaust in 2019.So it sound different not like 2018 one.It have lower Rpm.It still sound good but yeah no screaming sound.

Le Mans meant something when the world's best competed there year after year, and the Mulsanne had no . chicanes. going on 30 years since the chicanes were put in and it's now just an endurance race where the best are occupied elsewhere or uninterested in competing there.

It is not too late to get your tickets. The difficulty for you I would say will be to book a flight and plan everything here in France: transportation, hotels (which are full) or campings 😕

I'll just had that the train would be to complicated for me and you won't be able to see the race properly as you'll need to check your watch every time not to miss your train. You see what I mean? @@rudfil Yeah I see what you mean... There are parkings around the circuit (red, blue, green and yellow) I know a lot of people sleep in their cars but you need a ticket for those parkings and I don't know if they are still available. To be honest I slept once in my car in 2013 and that was at the: Allée Beethoven 72100 Le Mans. It is pretty calm around here and a 20 min walk to the circuit. There are always places here. If you are lucky you can find a place which is near the circuit but I wouldn't count on that if I was you...
