I think its possible dolmens were set up as a result of seasonal bombardments of micrometeorites, perhaps the perseids, or ones likely to occur during harvest times or herd movements. There are examples of skulls of men and beasts with holes in them that resemble bullet wounds. It would be interesting to examine the upper surfaces of these dolmens to see if there were any signs of high impact scars left.

As someone who works with stone, I'll say nobody just threw these together. When working with large stones, 2 of apparent similar size and density can be very different in terms of effort to move and lift, even with the help of modern equipment. A stone that looks the size of an average human can weigh nearly a half ton, a mistake can easily severely injure or even kill you. Then there's shaping and fitting, OUCH! my poor thumb.

Doerman your a stoner lol 😂 I’ve heard some of these things have been dated to 10,000 years. The holes in a lot of them are a mystery also was it used to house a sacred animal like a cave lion? The Basque people (That’s speak a language isolate) Seem to have the most folklore about these things. They say giants built them. There is also Germanic folklore about giants building them.

Some other folklore about tiny people Dwarfs , Leprechaun, and the Niebelungenlied have stories of sacred little folk. Maybe the holes in the dolmens were to house these beings?

I was under the impression that most roofed dolmens were tombs that were at one time covered in earthen mounds (which later eroded away.) I have always been curious if there is any common placement to their entrance orientations which could aid in dating them if the entrances seem to be all "aimed" in a similar "cardinal point" direction as old European burials did over time and the changing inhabitants cultural trends seemed to follow. In burials, the alignment of the body often indicates who and approximately when they were buried..
@Possumn1138
@Possumn1138 7 жыл бұрын
In a dolmen, the entrance perhaps may point in a direction which the local religion dictates at the time. Such as at the rising sun. Over time and precession, such a item could perhaps actually help " date" the construction time of the dolmen.

Wise Up directed viewers to your channel and this is the first of your videos I've watched. You've done an amazing job of collecting the dolmen images and presenting them. I look forward to viewing more of your work. As you know, Wise Up shows how some rocks are fossilized molten metal and are ancient machinery. He also shows how some ancient buildings were constructed with rebar that has melted or by some other ( probably unanticipated) process has disintegrated. I'm just speculating, something Wise Up would not approve of. But perhaps the dolmens were machines made of different kinds of metal. Depending on the metal, perhaps some bits of the machine survived, others did not. Many of the images show bits of rock lying around. Maybe they're parts of the machines. The dolmens that are rounded and have holes in them look as if they're quite smooth and the holes look as if they were made with a precision tool to allow something else to fit into the hole. Perhaps the circles of stones on the ground around them are other bits of the machinery. Maybe those stones were connected and the connected stones rotated around the center piece. I doubt if the soil around each of the stones in the circle is the same soil that was there when the dolmen was created, so I guess it wouldn't help much to test it. But maybe the stones have markings that would suggest that they at one time were connected to something else and thus to each other. If, no matter the original material, heat has distorted the parts before they became petrified, perhaps it also galvanized the larger top slabs or balls of the dolmens to what have become the 'supports' even 'f they weren't necessarily supports originally and that's why the tops look as if they have been cleverly balanced. Some of the larger Stonehenge-looking dolmens might also have been part of the structure of a building, although Wise Up and Mud Fossils show that they are bones of giants. It's said that a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing and as my self-corrected typo suggests to me, it could also be a dangerous 'think'. Or a silly think at least. I do have only a little bit of knowledge about things ancient but lots more than I had before I discovered Wise Up, Mud Fossils and Charles Kos just days ago. And now, thanks to Wise Up, I've found Vlad9vt !

@@vlad9vt I wish it was my theory but it is not. It does seem to me that there could have been a time when man didn’t worship himself. I picture a small percentage of mankind surviving beneath these stones. Fire likely rained from the sky, as all of our myths agree. Of course, man wouldn’t have forgotten these life saving technologies, and these would well have been worshipped forever as sacred places. I’d like to think that these predate military fortifications and and all houses of worship alike, and were the very beginnings of modern engineering, architecture, or organization at such a scale. It’s hard to tell from these wonderful photos but it seems there was a maximum or average size as to how big the stones could be, suggesting a theoretical maximum sized stone that could be maneuvered by man power and basic levers alone. Some seem hastily built. It makes more sense to me that these fantastic achievements were built for the living and not the dead. They could have been built very quickly under terrifying circumstances. These went on to become the first churches or houses of worship. This is such a great video. I love the music and am glad you put his all together, Thank you.

Fun to look at ,I can't help but think of the Flintstones when ever I see them hahaha okay my theory 1 the flat rock balanced on two or more pillars is a depiction of the earth i.e. The flat earth ,2same with the dolmens they would be a depiction of the mother Goddess (earth)in predictable except for the small hole which all life comes threw both are forms of temples , shrines ,places of worship ...
