Oppo A38 has a peak brightness of 720 nits which is plenty bright. Helio G85 should help it have a longer battery life.

That's slightly brighter than the iPhone 11 or iPhone 7 and their screens were totally usable in bright sun. Not great but definitely ok for taking photos.

I think at this price point, nothing can come close to the 33 watts SuperVooc charging as other budget phones like the honor x5 plus and x6a doesn't offer what oppo is offering, starting with the 2 major Os upgrades promised by oppo and coupled with the Helio g85, the battery holds charge much longer, a lag free experience, the material you color theming on the notification shade like the google pixel. I won't lie but Infinix XOS and Tecno HiOS are pretty much clunky and inconsistent especially the android 11 and 12 version where you can't exit the app menu by swiping downward

The only Chinese smartphone brands very common here in Zambia 🇿🇲 are itel,Tecno ,Samsung and Infinix,oppo is very rare here

As for performance, oppo and vivo hardly lag even when their RAM and ROM is near zero. This is one thing I like about their phones.
