I’ve been there. The long Meg stone is also inside a now invisible cursus monument, which runs pretty much E-W joining up with a stream in the west. The cursus then joins up with the stone circle. A massive ditched enclosure, larger than the stone circle, is next to it on its North side too. Very interesting site and a real Neolithic complex.

At 8 minutes, Andrew says the ring marks are where the eye would have been. I instantly got the impression that it was rather where the ear would be. Denoting perhaps sound, resonance, and vibration. A compass is always a good idea, to show any magnetic energy, and a crystalline stone to see if the stones ring when hit. Nice one guys, thank you.

Video-bombed by a Cow.!!. The Cow is doing a very good job of hiding behind the stone pillar whilst they're doing their talk occasionally scratching its head on the stone pillar. It doesn't seemed bothered by the guys either but is very funny

The 360 marks the old calendar, my bet is the red stone symbolises the Comet Phaeton, bringer of the Flood of Noah off our shores. After it hit, precession of the equinoxes started and we gained planetary volume, a new, spinning top rotation and 5 extra days to the calendar. It's what the inner circle at Stonehenge shows. Machrie Moor on Arran has a similar red standing stone, Arran, Machrie Moor 3 (Canmore).

long meg and her daughters are a lovely part of where i grew up. the megaliths and monuments from our cultural heritage and forgotten history are beautiful, humbling, and a solid reminder of the fact every human to have ever existed had their own unique singular experience in life, and like us, they sometimes used their individual experience to work with others to create monuments that either serve as a purpose of decoration, memorial, or any number of other things. i don't personally believe these are portals to other planets like some are saying in this comments section. i believe in spiritual stuff, but this isn't personally what i believe. personally i think that mixing the past with sci-fi is entertaining for film and tv, but dangerous when we teach others the information as if it is proven and peer approved fact. don't get me wrong. i try to find the truth and the morals behind all of our folklore, its been my hobby for 4 or 5 years now, ever since i was 18. but theres a line for me, and thats cut off at my ancestors having the technology to create portals to other worlds or dimensions. the druids were like modern priests, their work was ceremonial and offered comfort, but to think we could do this high tech stuff 4 - 5,000 years ago is just... not for me. they were a lot more advanced than we give them credit for, but more in a, modern religion set us back in gender rights and gay acceptance compared to how gay everyone was back then kinda way. we were farmers, druids, blacksmiths and warriors. history is fascinating enough as it is. we dont need to turn it into a thriller novel.

I was there this morning! Absolutely breathtaking. Snow everywhere and the panoramic hills looking so beautiful!! My GPS stopped working as I walked up to the first stone on the left of the path. GPS started working again when I walked in at home and linked to my Wi-Fi. I had mobile data on the whole time, on my mobile (it's a pretty new Samsung). Very strange and oddly magical!!

Local folklore says that if you put your back against Long Meg and count her daughters then close your eyes and turn around 3 times and open your eyes and count again you can never get the same number. The legend goes that when your eyes are closed the daughters run around and rise or sink into the ground so that is the magic of this site.

Looking at arial shots,the furrows in the ground go through the stones so either those furrows are older than the stones? Or maybe they been moved. When you dows away from stone it creates points in circles surrounding it

A short walk from my smallholding. I'm repeating neolithic designs on my cob guest dens to reflect our ancestral art. The gritstones will have been bought down by the glacial melt, as they're everywhere in fieldstone mounds from field cleaning. The sandstone may be from the Lazonby side of the River Eden, as the opposite and softer Glassonby sandstone spalls after a few hundred years. I'm really surprised you didn't do more research before your visit, as you'd have seen that historically a Colonel Samuel Lacy of Salkeld Hall, tried to blow up the stones and is likely why they're recumbent. Story has it that as the deed was coming to the final moment of fuse lighting, a storm of such violence blew in that all fled for their lives. This was taken as an omen and the stones were left.

I went to Long Meg in July this year Took my dowsing rods There is a lot of energy around 4 outer stones and energy along a straight line to Long meg .The stones outside the circle next to Long me I think amplify the energy towards meg .I Dowsed in front of meg and found the faster my rods were turning the closer I got to the stone .The pull on the rods was quite incredible as I thought I was going to be pulled into the stone
@laurainsley2907

How fascinating! I was there last month and I agree, the energy is palpable. My GPS took me in the opposite direction to start. I walked straight up to Long Meg from the path. The camber meant that from the largest stone only, you can see all the surrounding hills. It would have been an astrological observatory, easy to track stars as they rose. Something compelled me to touch every stone in the circle, clockwise and back to Long Meg. I charged a crystal there. Strangely, my GPS didn't start working until I walked back through my front door, 80 miles south. My last personal crystal was charged in Brodgar. It didn't just explode, it vaporised a month later. I only have the small part that was on a silver chain! I would be interested to hear your thoughts 💜🙏

The stone circle is part of a grid system that interlocks all sites throughout our world and beyond I believe that there are also grid systems in our solar system These systems are aligning a bit like matching the cogs on a clock . when this is achieved then maybe time travel or dimension hopping who knows Just a wacky hypothetical thought Science fiction
@johnspencer9385
@johnspencer9385 7 ай бұрын
@@laurainsley2907 Yes it's a very fascinating place .Full of energy. Probably constructed long before civilization. Part of a earthly grid I presume. Could be a star portal that connects inter galactic travel ? There could theoretically be a grid system throughout our solar system. These things seem dormant but to anyone who has a higher field these are drawing to us . If you think astrological then this is a procession of alignment bit like the cogs in a clock .Maybe when this wakens up then who knows Dimension hopping or galactic guests . Interesting stuff

@@johnspencer9385 Something drew me to it, definitely. I can't say that I understand the energy, but I don't live that far away, so I will definitely be going back soon. Do you have any advice on dowsing please? I have a few books on dowsing, but some practical tips would be much appreciated. Have you visited any other places of interest in the North West? There is interesting energy around a small town called Clitheroe, Lancashire. I think it may be on the lay line running roughly North/South through the country.

I purchased a book last year from a book shop in Grasmere Ring of Stone Circles Exploring Neolithic Cumbria it's a fascinating read about stone circles .As far as dowsing Mindset is paramount. As with a Pendulum you need to program it so that it is in tune with you . Being a Reiki Practitioner I have mastered this practice but have a clear mind is challenging.depending how balanced your chakras are .If you obtain either it is best to find a quiet space on say grass remove shoes and ground yourself and then clear your mind and set your intention.Do not over complicate your actions Hope this helps

You dont have the tools you need to investigate. Dowsing rods Pendulam Shrooms. The circle symbol is showing what ckmes from the stone.dows away from the stone..mark the point.follow cardinel directions. You can recreate what they were. On mushrooms this stone extends to gigantic size and shimmers and shakes. The heel stone at the henge gives off bright blue flashes when tapped with a crystal. They all got sommat to do with energizing the land making it productive and water from deep underground. Maybe

There is a story that the landowner told his workers to destroy the circle. As they were destroying one or two stones a violent thunderstorm arose which frightened them. One died another went mad. No more stones were broken up. Don’t know if it a true story. If there was a thunderstorm was it just coincidence or did they annoy someone🤔. Unfortunately sometimes people are struck by lightning during a storm.

i think they may be portals or gateways ,it might explain the lights seen in those areas with these kinda structures ,skinny ones some look like orbs of light ,but are actually living beings outside of matter/flesh or space born like Thoth or christ = graduated to the upper realms or treasury of light outside time/space/matter ,they call it the Son/Universe above it the father/universe ,we are in the lower world = 7 charas to master

Our west coast First Nations usage of concentric circles represent s- center is the individual and mother earth/Creator share the center; then family including extensive members, the next circle is their community, Nation, entire Nation and then, all Indigenous Nations! Yet, they'd likely include Clan in the circles too, showing the 2 keys are your self care and connection to M.E. or mother earth also requires our direct care with spirituality and perhaps, supernatural beings like the Thunderbird. The remote NW BC west coast Haida Nations could show you amazing caves, carvings, their site & methods of collecting and carving the rare Argylite stone. And then just walking in, seeing what remains and feeling the energy is tremendously impressive. Many ancient villages from 12,000 or 14,000 yrs old. are still overseen by Haida Watchmen. There's so much to reveal after you ferry over for 6-8 hours in good weather to the edge of the world! I'm not Haida so this likely pales or minimizes at best, the plethora of riches, wonders and cultural practices still upheld and reimbursed. The children's dancing circle is embodied spirit of all the creatures the Haida realized and worked with to influence and control. S o why don't we/you folks and others investigate living cultural history into antiquity in BC or across Canada?
