i still find it funny that Vriska is the lone poster girl for HS meglovania. it was the point which earned her a true 'just' death judgment, but if anything, this is Aradia's moment of glory. she god tiered and came back to life and just stared down and contained what was then the biggest threat in the comic. my girl Ara deserves more credit.

Yeah, I agree. Aradia was just so badass, she should be the main character in the flash. However, I think Vriska is the character for megalovania. It has Vriska 's leitmotif in it, and we know she is overconfident in her abilities, and seeks ALLLLLLLL the levels so she is pretty megalomaniacal, isn't she? TBH tho, I would've loved it if Toby crammed in a Black leitmotif or Aradias leitmotif in the song, around 1:35.

I was actually surprised when I got to this scene because I had always seen Megalovania attributed to Vriska but the scene seemed more focused on Jack and Aradia. I understand why it's associated more with Vriska though: pretty sure she's just that popular.

I don't think killing tavros gave her the just for when she died. I think it was when vriska felt sorry for killing him made her get a just death, because troll just is different for human just and since vriska compared to everyone as being a normal troll being that she's supposed to be violent like what trolls are supposed to be, feeling sorry is basically wrong for alternian trolls.

@@BugBoss1205 The thing with the sword is Bec Noir. He is supposed to be the embodiment of both cancer and a play of Blackjack in poker (Homestuck is pretty weird). In case you are wandering, the character who gets sliced in half at the begining is Piscis, the one that gets stabed is Leo, the one in the bed who suddenly transforms into a red robe with wings is Aries, the one with the yellow robe is Scorpio and the one with the robot legs is Tauro. Also, the timer that appears at half of the song is set at 4:13 because that number is a recurring theme in the comic.

Here's the reasons why I like all of these.... 1. Earthbound... The eeriness of it just makes this one amazing. It's the calmest out of them all even though Varik, the character, is in a very bad situation. 2. Mother CogDis. I like this one so much because how futuristic it sounds. It fits perfectly with the game. 3. Homestuck. 1. GUITAR!!!!! 2. It's the longest out of the four (Excluding Undertale because it loops so does Earthbound and Mother CogDis) 4. Undertale. The tension fits perfectly with the situation at hand while the Earthbound's situation doesn't exactly. In this version you feel the terror of what you're fighting which makes whoever and whatever you're fighting more intimidating. And that's all folks.

Actually, yeah, three of them ARE ripoffs: the three made by Toby Fox. See, the original version wasn't made by him; he essentially borrowed it from another romhack and polished it up some, then just... kept using it over the years. Toby Fox did not compose or originally produce Megalovania. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful as fuck that he did, because he improved this piece of music to an astounding degree over time. However, your statement is still pretty wrong considering Toby Fox's iterations of Megalovania actually ARE "rip-offs" of the original.

@@GigaLigma If I remember correctly, which I'm pretty sure I am, Toby Fox originally wanted to use the song Megalomania from a Japanese only RPG know as LiveALive inside EB:HH. However, he was having trouble replecating that song in the Earthbound soundfont. So he decided to create his own original composition, being Megalovania. The person who made CogDis was a huge fan of his work on Homestuck and EB:HH, and asked if he could put Megalovania into CogDis, and Toby said sure, because he was a huge Earthbound fan as well. So yeah, they aren't ripoffs.

Also, Joren "Tensei" de Bruin did the guitar parts for the Homestuck version of MeGaLoVania. Not a whole lot of people mention this and it's somewhat interesting. Tensei is another person who was on the Homestuck music team and he made a few really iconic songs like Heir of Grief and the entire Strife! album.

Each Megalovania brings something great to the table that makes them awesome. Undertale-Cleanest version, and Those long notes are better here then anywhere else. Homestuck-Epic guitar riffs, also probably my favorites scene videos wise. Cog Dis-Synth tones are amazing and add to the hype. Earthbound-Best Drumline.
