As far as Needle Man’s weakness to Gemini Laser, it’s obviously meant to follow him as he jumps around the room by bouncing off walls and other surfaces to cut corners. Of course nowadays (and, to some extent, back when this game was made), lasers could be made powerful enough to penetrate metal like Needle Man’s housing (or his trademark projectiles).

Another fine job with Needle Man's theme! =D Though, am I the only one who thinks Needle Man's theme on NES sounds a bit weird? It's not bad by any stretch of the imagination, it's just... weird-sounding, I don't really know how to describe it. Also, the Doc Robot version of this level can go die in a fire.
