In the saturn version, the background, foreground (the platforms) and the sprite graphics are in different graphic layers. So it's possible to remove the background and the foreground in a Sega Saturn emulator. I believe Capcom will not change the graphic layers in PS version, then one of my friends find out the gameshark code to turn the background/foreground off. That's how I make the platform keeps disappearing - just switch the foreground on/off every seconds.

Turn off foreground 30141A93 0000 30141AE7 0000 Turn off background 30141B3B 0000 Turn off the player 301419AB 0000 and put the values to 0001 to turn on. This only works on Japanese version of RockmanX4 (of course, PS version).

owl has some changes but he is very weak to the 3rd slash of zero's combo and (plus) after that owl doesn't have invincible frames, so he keep Wide open to a closer giga attack (he's other weakness) :v I will consider a double multitask if it get's less than 80 minutes.

It's okay if it takes too long and seems to be too difficult. There's a lot of things in this mod that is unavoidable, but yea I think stingray would be the easiest since it is an auto scroll stage. (hopefully one game doesn't get frame lag, that would be the worst). Maybe both Zero, but one with the mod and one without? Idk how that would turn out but it would be interesting. Just an idea xD

Honestly not, the hardest thing that I played is metal gear rising on revengeance difficulty. at the first 3 chapters u can die in 2 seconds with the 100% of health, I have a official speed run of it on SDA, and it seem that I'm the only one that has even tried. Obiosuly I played on NG mode, but if you look for ng+ there's tons of guys having fun with the game n.n

This game is insane, and your playthrough is 100% AWESOME.Though, to be entirely honest... I'm kinda disappointed in the mod itself. Like, the difficulty just comes from making enemies attack a billion times faster, and... that's pretty much it. This works for most of the bosses, as they're kinda simple otherwise, but for just a normal enemy to do the same felt... lazy I guess. IDK. IMO, if the mod is something *I* could have made, I feel like it's a bit too simple lol.Regardless, I've been waiting for this day since I saw your black peacock video, and seeing it fulfilled is nothing short of incredible! Thanks for showing this off, it was awesome watching you play! :)

Yes , I know it's too simple, but this is exactly the starting point of this game. Someday I got a short set of gameshark codes which reset the cooldown counter every single frame. This small set changes the whole gameplay entirely - but this will lead to some severe errors, e.g., Storm Owl, Eyezard and Tentoroid will escape from the screen and will never come back, Split Mushroom doesn't want to start the battle, Web Spider just hide on the Tree and make a lot of leaves falling..... but that still makes a lot of fun. A few years later, I've learnt to use Lua code to control the emulator's memory. I then decided to make some more changes based on this set of gameshark codes - to make it fully playable, to removes those errors, and, to make more enemies becomes stronger. I never thought about to rewrite a different game, nor even rewrite all enemies entirely. All things I've done is to make least changes in memory, but changes the game significantly.

Oh snap, a reply from the creator. :P Let me start by saying that I meant no offense with my previous comment. The most complicated thing I've hacked is NES games, I can't even imagine how much more difficult it is to modify games that came out two system cycles later lol. That aside, I spend a fair bit of time in the Mario Maker community recently, and there, "enemy spam" is considered poor form. Part of that mentality has definitely affected my viewpoint on this hack somewhat lol, and that's where my initial post comes from. I still appreciate the work that went into it, and love the concept. The story of where the idea came from is cool as well, there's a beauty in the simplicity of it, but the entire experience is completely unique with such a simple tweak. Regardless, I want to express my thanks for making this hack! Once I saw the black peacock vid that XMaverickHunter posted, I tried google to find the hack he was playing (turns out it was in the description box lol), and the only hack I could track down changed the voices in the game (a noble endeavor, to be fair. :P ). There are VERY few people who are making things like this in the Megamn community. Sure, there's a new hack of MM2 every few months, but for the X series? VERY little. So, thanks, and keep up the good work!
