The story was okay but even when this was new there were some things I didn't like. Watching it again after all these years... I'm still not sure if I like the show or not. The scenes jump around like this was edited down from a larger episode is one of them. Specifically when the police found Geo, and then getting his mom to pick him up. I'm not even sure if he was in the hospital for a checkup from being unconscious or in the police station as a suspect. And then there's how Geo reacts to Omegasis. One moment he's scared of him, then he's trying to make friends with him, then he's scared of him again, and how the alien knows about the glasses and the human who owns them forgets all about them from the last episode so we can waste more time talking about EM waves. Quite inconsistent.
