I may be of an unpopular opinion, but I think this is the best X game of the 32 bit era. Still not the biggest fan of the zoomed in level design that started with this game, but the game is just absolutely amazing overall. Great story, great interactions. I think the only reason why so many like X5 better is because of the fight between X and Zero and it intending to end the franchise.

I always loved this theme. It fit X so perfectly. The hero rushing back into action to save the innocent from being destroyed. And it fits the urgency of the Sky Lagoon stage too.
