I really wish the x games dwelled into X's mental state/conscious more. he went through multiple wars, was betrayed by almost everyone around him, his heart couldn't handle fighting zero so much so dr light had to erase his memories so he can continue to prosper. so much character I wish we got to see more of.

Much of the mature scenes doesn't shows enough, X8 and MHX (Maverick hunter X) are the games that does it good, the others not too much

That's the face that says "I've seen some shit man.". I highly doubt words or anything else can really hurt X. What does truly hurt him is the fact that even after fighting, and killing countless numbers of his own comrades, the death of Zero was probably the one thing that hurt him the most. Fighting battle after battle, one friend after another. They're all just to feed Sigma's power.
