For those who are surprised Lumine is a girl, consider these things: -Lumine is Latin for "Light" -Lumine's "Paradise Lost" is a reference to Lucifer -Both Lucifer and Lumine share the first two letters of their name, and Lucifer was associated with Heaven for a time before revolting. He was also very beautiful -Lumine's androgynous appearance is meant to reference Lucifer or at least represent the gender-neutral nature of angels (as they are supposed to look neither male or female)

When i play x8 in the final battle and see sigma i say "Ok, sigma again is the final boss" when i fought lumine was a big WTF???? indeed was a nice surprise

+000mjd But it sucked, Sigma is the better villian and best villian of the MM universe. No villian has accomplished as much as him. So far, Sigma was the only maverick to almost wipe out the entire human race. Even in future games they are still talking about him. Lumine was just a "one time wonder" a Reploid similar in design to that of the zero series. Nothing too special.

000mjd agreed, the only thing that killed Lumine is that at the very end, he was also a puppet of Sigma's design as well. The whole "going maverick at will" was literally fulfilling what Sigma wanted to do. The Sigma virus continued until MMZ. So it was kinda of a waste to have Lumine as the final boss and don't really achieve anything that might impact in future games, that's why my sigma rant xD

Lumine being the final boss is symbolic of what Sigma has managed to accomplished. Since he managed to infect a new generation of reploids, he no longer needs to be a threat. In a way, he's created an army of himself, so now Sigma can just take a back seat and watch as things unravel.

That was Keiji Inafune's intention, to end it with X5. Then the team made X6 behind his back, and he had to jump in and try to salavge it. Then he got the idea for X8, so he had to make X7 as a means of introducing Axl so the audience can get to know him. X8 was one of the best, really.

Although this song is very epic, i feel like the exact context that it was in did not do the song good justice. The angel Lumine worked, but not the battlefield. Maybe it could have been something similar to the Sigma boss fight in x7 where you were on a falling platform.

Sigma didn't win here. He thought he had won because the uprising was caused by his DNA in the new-gen reploids' copy chips... but as was said from the start, they were the ones who used him. Lumine saw Sigma as a stepping stone, a means to an end, and the symbolism is right there before his fight - he steps on and crushes Sigma's head, asserting himself as the herald of the new world. Maybe Lumine is a new Sigma. His ideology certainly seems similar, and there's that thing he did to Axl in the ending... but he is no more Sigma than he is all the other reploids in his copy chip.

Well the Mega Man Zero games got a little political, but I can't say I thought they kicked more ass than the X series (not dissin' the games, I did fairly enjoy them). I think the closest thing we had to going beyond the concept of good vs. Evil in the X series was the whole "evolution" thing that the new-age reploids introduced in X8, which did make me think more about mankind and technology than the concept of reploids ever did. What if X9 introduced NEEDING to break the 1st rule of robotics?

Allow me to shed some light on this, gentlemen. Have either of you played final fight? Poison, who was a hooker, was a female enemy in Japan's version of the game. Now, america doesn't like females to be A) Exposed B) Villains. So, in America, lumine/Poison are listed as males. Which explains why people think Poison is a transvestite and some think Lumine is a little fruity.

Mike Hyoraku Capcom created X6 without Inafune's knowlege, they force him to change the entire Zero Saga (replace X with copy-x ._. and so on), they continue to make more Megaman X's games even when Inafune already say that the X Saga ends in X5, he had a LOT of reasons for leaving the company. Lot of pression, lot of pain and a lot of orders to do "money" without creativity. Today he is trying to continue with he's dream making Mighty No 9 he's personal version of Megaman. Capcom already give a fuck abut Megaman (remember the international blaming to the fans maded by Capcom with Legends 3) so, if the oportunity comes, Inafune will make more Megaman games, but ONLY if Capcom give to him the IP (game product rights) because Inafune already know what Capcom is capable to do. And one more thing... "Mighty" was one of a fiew beta names for the FIRST Rockman game back in 1987. Inafune finally decided to put Rock Man because of the Rock n Roll, but in the first stages of the game production, Mighty was the name of the game and even there is the prototype design for the cover maded by Inafune. This is the main reason why he called "Mighty No9" to his new Megaman spiritual sucessor. :3

Can't argue with that, I also think that it's the best sigma boss theme in the entire x series, it's just something about the heavy guitar riffs, coupled with the slow pace of the song, it really gives off this strong sense of finality to the whole thing, like this is truly sigma's last stand.
