Megami Tensei 2 (Famicom) not Kyuuyaku (Super Famicom remake of Megami Tensei and Megami Tensei 2). Megami Tensei 2 soundtrack is composed by Tsukasa Masuko, Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei soundtrack is composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, and have remixed OST from first two Megami Tensei games (worst in my opinion, Hitoshi Sakimoto ruined some songs like YHVH). SMT feels like a fucking vision quest to become god right after the fucking apocalypse. Yet somehow, some people end up rejecting that role and destroying everything, because the system is fucked. Persona 4 and 5 is like the most wholesome and all Japanese slice of life where the cast is leading double lives. Personas 1,2 and 3 definitely had more Megaten aesthetic to them.

P4 and P5 do share the overarching franchise theme of examining the relationship between science and superstition, modernity and mysticism, technology and tradition, and seeing how they affect each other, but they tend to hearken to the Persona franchise's own themes on identity and how your perception of the world around you affects yourself and others. P1-3 definitely had more of the above theming, but I suppose they did have more Megaten theming in being overall "darker", but you can tell they're very much Persona games. Also, I can tell you P2 ABSOLUTELY holds true to its themes and message. Both of them are thematically the strongest game in the series next to P3.

Okay, I was a persona baby :(( but I humbled myself and with all of the respect to the SMT franchise, I played smt IV. Got my ass ripped and spanked. But my ears Ohh they were blessed. That minotaur ost slapped me like no other ost in gaming history slapped me. And with joy and tears, I was trying to beat minotaur for 4 hours straight. SMT IV ost as a whole is a nice and polished mix of music crafted with its climate, especially for that game. But maybe I have that high rate for it because it mixed all the genres I like, especially since it excelled well in industrial/dark electro. I hope Apocalypse will be similar :) Now I am playing SMT V and Yeah it's great definitely fitting for the game, but I will give it a bit smaller score. Still great and breathtaking but IV was just unreal

@@nr2676 both versions of giten were being worked on and then somehow nothing more about them was posted, sadly. not sure about ronde but i know NINE's neutral route had a text translated walkthrough at least which is better than nothing. i played all of the PSP devil summoner with a text based walkthrough. interesting experience.
