YEA!!! It was actually UNBELIEVABLE how well their voices blended together!!! I definitely was rooting for Huntergirl last yr, & after Idol Noah & Huntergirl were allowed to mention that she ended up doing the harmonies of Noah's song. But NOBODY has blended as well together on Idol that I'VE EVER SEEN or HEARD than Colin & Megan!!!!! It was cute when Megan said that they chose which song of Ed Sheeran's to sing. It was ACTUALLY the only song, I've never heard him sing. SO all the more, their version seemed like it was the original!!!! LOVED Ed Sheeran's reaction to it!!!

@@sarahawkins1917 The one thing that I didn't always love, was Kree Harrison from gosh 10 yrs or more ago. I loved a few songs she sang. But the recordings just weren't the same quality & way too produced. Whereas listening to Noah's, Huntergirl's & the other girl from last season in the top 3, it sounded the same & had great producers. SO...in that way, I hope they produce it with great producers that doesn't make it sound different. I just recall being very disappointed cause u could listen to the whole song but it just didn't sound the same. ACTUALLY a few with the Voice too. I don't quite get that. Kree Harrison sang, one of Carrie Underwood songs, & I ACTUALLY loved Kree's version better. This was b4 Harry Connick Jr was a Judge. He was the mentor that week & I remember Keith Urban was a Judge. Kree didn't win, but made it into the top 3. She & her siblings had lost both parents. I was already touched by her version but listened to it after my Dad my passed away. "See You Again".

It's shocking that Blake didn't turn for her on The Voice. She was 17 & her season was disrupted by COVID lockdown suddenly. Kelly Clarkson was the ONLY coach who turned for her. Blake DID however realize come Battles, that he DID make a mistake!!! I'd be curious if Luke has told Blake how incredibly well she's doing on American Idol. (There's been 4 contestants this year, that ALL were on The Voice.)

@@NN-cc6dd BUT Kelly NOTICED Megan immediately!!!! AND Kelly saved her in the Battles & the Knock Out Rounds. Blake did think he made a mistake, B/C ALL the coaches were blown away by her when during the Knockout Rounds she sang "Piece By Piece." Blake KNEW he blew it, after The Battles. By American Idol also has rejected a # of prominent singers. This was more when Simon Cowell was on. I ACTUALLY think, one issue, is that they right from there auditions to the Battle round. Whereas Idol has changed Hollywood week compared to when they 1st started. The duet round, sometimes BOTH go thru or just one. I think there's too much emphasis on the Coaches. AND the singers don't sing enough!!!! I don't know why, they feel they have 2 seasons a year. BUT...I do see Megan MORE confident & MORE happy overall as we know she's struggled with believing in herself. Lauren Daigle was on American Idol and didn't make it to the top 24. Plus, I KNOW Blake's been frustrated that the winners don't automatically have a record deal, which the winner of American Idol has. A few seasons I missed. At 1st, I found The Voice very refreshing, b/c I often didn't watch the auditions on Idol, b/c I thought the Judges & Producers exploited those who were REALLY not talented & made fun of them. SO...I couldn't believe the difference between the Idol from way back to the Coaches. I didn't watch the Season that MaryBeth Byrd was on!!!! It just came up. I think it became too much of game with the Coaches. Right now it's Blake's last season. Each team had only 10. BUT suddenly they had to cut their teams down to 2. I was shocked. I wouldn't say however as a whole that they don't recognize talent. I just think they need to regroup on how to make it more about the singers than the Coaches. And tbh it's brutal for the Coaches!!!! This season the cuts were fast & each Coach has really struggled. I ACTUALLY didn't watch American Idol when it 1st came back. It took me a bit to c watch & was super impressed with how 3 Judges were so different than when Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul & can't recall the other guy. They have had some success with their artists: Cassidy Pope is one & the guy from the fall who won, I'd be very surprised if he doesn't make it into country music!!!! Singers who OVER sing, usually don't get the People's vote. It's the same as American Idol in that way. The reality is that right now, country music is the most popular music & I think some resent it on BOTH shows, either a coach or how viewers vote. I thought John Legend was an ass, last Season, when all 3 of Blake's team were part of the Finale. AND John Legend, I get it he was upset that more of his vocalists didn't make it. BUT for me, it came across as disrespectful 2 those who were in the Finale. The young woman who came in 2nd place, was AMAZING, but I don't know why the heck she didn't pick Blake for a coach. She didn't audition country, BUT then ended up singing mostly country songs. AND Blake does have a reputation for helping his artists the most after the show. Sadly a Season I didn't watch, a younger pop girl did very well on Adam Levine's team & she was climbing the charts & on tours. BUT she was literally killed, I think shot when she was signing autographs at some city. It was AWFUL!!!!! I have mixed feelings about both shows. BUT...my gosh, to NOT be moved by Megan, I do hope Luke is showing Blake what they missed out on. But it was also brutal cause suddenly it was COVID & the coaches were at their homes. I do think it's difficult when it's subjective. U like what u like. BUT...Megan was only 17 then & so I'm glad she has more experience & we've seen her become more confident & free & joyful!!!! Not all the winners of American Idol make it. I didn't watch when Gabby Barrett was on. I just assumed she won. But she got 3rd place. There's still only Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson ( also who came in like 5th maybe?!?! Oh, of course Adam Lambert. But I think he came in 2nd. My thing, is I think it's time for a girl to win as well!!! It seems like Chayce Beckham, Noah & Huntergirl may go far?!?! I don't know.

@@NN-cc6dd Sorry I just realized that I repeated myself. As a whole Blake DOESN'T miss good country singers!!!! Megan was rare. BUT Megan said, that even if Blake turned, her 1st choice for a coach was Kelly. I do think it's cool that Megan was able to learn from Kelly Clarkson being the 1st American Idol winner & Kelly did definitely see her talent. Blake & Kelly have won most. But like I said, how they go about eliminating people every season, is hurting the show.

I don’t get to see the whole shows cause I live in Austria right now, so I don’t know Colin’s whole story, but I don’t think he’s had much experience or lessons. Meghan has a lot more experience I think. Colin is just learning what his voice can do and I think he will keep on improving. Anyway I love his sound and his song choices, so who cares about Luke lol? He had a hard time being “in charge” without Katy and Lionel. It’s a good thing Alanis was outstanding and really had constructive things to say cause I think she saved the judges lol. Just my opinion! 🥰
