The format is a good idea it just needs something else so it doesn't get stale quickly. I think the best way to solve this would be time. So you get next weeks story at the end of the episode and they have to try and 'remember' the story till the next episode is recorded which would be much longer and a much harder challenge and could lead to more hilarity. I don't know how you would do the 1st story though maybe you'd organise a zoom call or something and just tell them the story a week before you record....
