I just noticed something. This stage doesn't have a single bottomless pit or instant death spike. Plenty of electric beams and surfaces, sure, but nothing that could kill you at full health.

Short answer: Japanese h and f sounds are grouped together. If you hear a Japanese person say Fuse Man's name in Japanese, it'll sound fine, but when written out phonologically, it looks like "Hiuse Man".
