11:13 Dude looks like a taller, fit and less creepy version of Colin Moke... Moch... Mock... the bald guy from "Who's line is it anyway".

OK, OK, maybe it's a matter of personal opinion. I looked up what that guy done outside this game, and I can tell he's acting here. While entire cast of WLIIA gives me "guess what I have in the basement..." vibe. But again, maybe it's just me.

Regarding the back of the manuals ads. "The Animals" on Sega CD was one of my all-time fave Edutainment titles ever. That disc goes incredibly deep on its subject matter revolving around the San Diego Zoo. I still have my childhood copy. Its chock full of FMVs, sound clips and interesting facts.

As long as what's included is of better quality than what Compton's Interactive Encyclopedia had, I'll probably be happy.

I remember seeing demos of this for the DOS version and thought it looked pretty impressive. Played the 3DO version, feel like there is some good ideas but it has a tough time competing with scaler racers or later 3D racing games

This is the exact problem.

Never heard of this game as it never came out over here in the UK. Heck I never even heard of this game being on other platforms.

This was apparently an odd thing, because Cryo Interactive was based in France, and the game was advertised to be released for the Mega CD, but they just decided not to release it over there, for whatever reason.
@Josephrace19913 ай бұрын
@@ZilogandMotoEww Cryo interactive made some of the worst games for the PS1 and PS2 so now I don't care that this game wasn't released in my country.😁

That's weird. MegaRace was originally released on PC, then ported to the Sega CD and 3DO. It definitely made a bit of a splash thanks to the cheesy, over the top videos (and FMV was all the rage between 1993 and 1996) and was popular enough to spawn two PC-exclusive sequels. MegaRace 2 was again very popular, again mostly due to the videos. The 3DO version was released in Europe as well. You're probably just too young.

Great gameplay, great soundtrack but PC is the way to go.

I think I have the 3DO release. It is fun to try, but I can see why this concept wasn't copied more.

Technology moved so fast, that they could have properly rendered 3D environments displayed in engine, rather than pre-rendered footage, and there was just no need to try to improve on this.

The FMVs do look pretty, but the gameplay looks very boring.
