I like how these scenes show highlights the core personality of the main characters. Coop is practically a 12 year old stuck inside an adult body, who just wants to eat junk food, likes cars, video games and dislike institutions while Jaime is a full blown villain (pervy, likes to steal, see other people as beneath him) if he actually commits to his cause

The problem with Jamie is that he's the stereotypical individual in their early twenties (in a time where there was loads of opportunity), he would have girls chasing after him if he moved past his negative traits, worked on his physique and actually applied himself to being a member of the team.
