Connecting a Bluetooth Speaker to a TV (how to pair)

This video explains how to pair / connect a wireless Bluetooth speaker to a smartTV. In order to do this the TV has to have Bluetooth build in.
This process only needs to be done once. After that the speaker will automatically reconnect every time both devices are turned on.

I connected my JBL boombox 2 to my new 75" LG and im impressed. I think im gonna get another boombox 2 and link them together. Just one is pretty nice with deep bass explosions and whatnot can't imagine 2 of them or more😳😳

Good video....but I would advise turning OFF the background music so you & people can HEAR the speaker sounds....that ensures things are connecting & working

Usually the TV speakers are turned off when connecting a Bluetooth device

Even if you could, it’s doubtful it will sync. The Bluetooth will always have a small amount of lag.

If you have partyboost speakers they will NOT work when JBL is paired to tv. Partyboost and tv don’t play nice. That’s a JBL issue. I spoke to a tech and they brushed me off saying maybe they’ll update the firmware. They want to sell the sound bar and they don’t tell you this. That the consumer division for you. The pro audio division wouldn’t do that.

They have an HDMI audio extractor you can buy. Connect a Bluetooth transmitter to that before it goes into your tv and you are good to go.

Usually it should stillbe possible to adjust the volume with the remote control. Some TVs may not support this though.

At this point TVs do not support multiple Bluetooth speakers at the same time. There are speakers that can be connected to each other. E g. with JBL PartyBoost. It would work that way. From what I’ve observed, most TVs turn off their speakers while a Bluetooth speaker is connected.

I prefer wired 3.5mm AUX for tv and home listening. When going out then I use BT. Ive had issues with BT connectiing and not working, but with AUX its direct. For this reason I buy devices with AUX + BT, but a lot of brands now phase out AUX.

If you use an aux cable from the TV to the Bluetooth speaker is also the same thing. Only sound from the speaker. But TV speakers suck anyway.

There is a significant amount of lag when it comes to audio over Bluetooth. Some devices can compensate by also delaying the image. But I don’t believe many do that.

Hi I'm reading you can't connect xbox one to wireless Bluetooth speaker. But I'm thinking if your TV has Bluetooth can't you just connect to blutooth speaker and when you play xbox the sound will just come threw. Peeps say xbox doesn't have Bluetooth OK but why would it matter if your TV does. My TV doesn't buy I'd buy something to connect to it so it does. The reason I need to know is bad neighbours I want to play xbox in living room but have a speaker in bedroom for when they blare musuc I give it some back

If the Bluetooth doesn’t work, you can connect an aux cable from the tv to the speaker and you can hear your Xbox sound.

Sharp tv fact: single speaker will pair with a sharp aquos. In order to have stereo you would have to have the JBL portable app on the tv. That doesn’t exist on the store. It does exist but prob Harmon Kardon made a deal with sharp not to make it available on their units.
