Just an additional observation for people who use these: 14.4 volts is generally the max an alternator charges a vehicle at these days. Therefore I understand wanting to set it at that point. It should be noted that most equipment is usually specified at 13.8 volts for the unit to operate as advertised, some vary a little on their spec sheet. A lot of folks buy these and set them to about 15 volts when they are using them with an external "CB" type RF amplifier as most will easily handle that voltage and it also helps keep the maximum peak power available out of the amp. These are great working power supplies and are as about RF noise free as you will find out there! I highly recommend them. The Duracomm's and Iota branded ones appear to be nice and clean also from my past experience with them. Have fun!!

Your vehicle charges at approx 14.3 to 15 volts setting these to 14.3 or 14.5 is fine.

Thanks, Dave. I bought one of these and I'm getting ready to wire it up, but the terminals on the radio wire are too large for the small connector on the power supply. I can cut them and crimp on some smaller, forked terminal ends, but I'm concerned I'm downsizing the ends too much. I skipped circuits in college and I don't understand why the wires and terminals are so much larger than the computer cord wire that's supplying the power. Can you include a pic of the radio power lines actually connected to the power supply, or simply comment on connectors. Thanks much.

Ac and dc require different wires. Dc needs bigger multi stranded wire to carry current whereas ac can use thinner lower strand or even solid conductors.

I just ordered 2 of the 50 amp and want to run them in parallels. I have a new Delta Electronics 60 amp power supply on a Texas Star DX500 and it all dims when I key up, I’m hoping this will remedy it

Are the MegaWatt power supplies noisy (rf noise)? My Radio Shack 25 amp switching power supply is very noisy on my HF receive radios. It's noisy even on the HF radio sitting on the next desk connected to a different analog power supply.
