This and the final song will forever be undefeated I miss the old Anime so much detail and time went into the films love it glad I’ve been a fan since 5 I’m 35 now listening makes me remember sitting watching the sex scene feeling awkward as a child man time flies😢❤

Nowhere near Akira. The movie had a lot going for it, great soundtrack, stylish character designs (in the first one), an interesting concept, but that concept was executed in nonsensical and convoluted fashion. Seriously, the exposition of the grand conspiracy was during a fucking sex scene, no one does that and it was just dumb. Seriously, I'm not picky when it comes to plot holes, but it was to the point where nothing made sense and it was directly contradicting what was stated just 5 minutes before. Best I can say for it was that it was almost a great movie, but it definitely fell short of that.

@@thefibrillator2927 Agreed. Worse than the plot holes and the gratuitous sex scenes, which are just par for the course in the 80's, I'd say the main problem was the pacing. It's just terrible. Nothing is properly established, nothing is dedicated the right amount of time, and as a result it feels disjointed, like the elements never really click together. I read this was originally supposed to be a 10 part series, but then the production company cut their budget or something, and it really shows. Like there are some good ideas in there, but they're never fleshed out in length, they just get brushed over and forgotten by the next scene. So you get a bunch of cool set pieces that are held together with duct tape. The animation also gets really rough at times, and you can tell where they started running out of money, even though the art style in part 2 and 3 is pretty good. They probably salvaged what they could through editing, and this is the result.

Me driving to work every morning to this track😂 I wanna take a min to salute the other Megazone fans who equally appreciate this track at this moment & those who are naturally 80s-90s anime enthusiasts. Just fyi we're limited edition soul, steel & rhythm. At least I've laid eyes on the real 1s here in the comments before it this song gets hit by swarms of tiktok degenerates who only like what they're told to by large crowds. Guess I'll savor the authenticity while I can.

For me, If there was ever *1* song that embodies the whole Megazone 23 movie experience, it would be... LONLEY SUNSET. So emotional so Exquisite. Transports me back to the first time I saw the movie in the late 80's and touches me that I get that electric charge, just the same. A+++

I havent heard of something described as "Miami style" but I think your correct with that description. I transport myself back to the 1980's when Miami Vice (which I watched religiously) was on t.v. and I can totally see how this could be a "Miami" Style. WHen I used to play this at home in the late 80's on my stereo my sister thought it sounded similar to Pebbles 1987 song "Mercedes Boy" watch?v=T2q0sqDIXZQ

In the 80's watching anime as a teen was a experience. U had the action, drama and the fkking music was the best part, I loved J pop way before it got its TITLE.
