Let's be honest. I think Mario was very honest this time because Meggy did the chaos. Either way she went from Horrible Cooking to Not knowing where the Kitchen Goes

Now I am not saying that Meggy Spletzer has low intelligence, because she is definitely highly intelligent, more so than Mario. But it is surprising that over the course of the series, Mario's intelligence seems to grow over the series overtime, despite him being subjected to low intelligence during his origin story. I have a feeling who would become a smart person too, but he hasn't fully reached that stage yet. That is also considering the fact that he is usually rather insane and off the walls, though he does have occasional bursts in intelligence, even if he doesn't realize it himself. And I have to admit, I am one of those people who are of the Mario X Meggy Spletzer crowd, as they do have potential to become boyfriend and girlfriend at some point. But not to the extent of the even more sexual stuff, and that's the difference to consider.
