Oh how I loved it when we are addressed by the name "A•chik" and not as "Garo". Came back home from work stressed out and feeling down. But this song made me feel home. I feel loved by and in love with my homeland, my Meghalaya. Three as one, we have done it together 50 years ago and we will still overcome everything together. @@nishka.777 We liked to refer to ourselves as Achik. We called our tribe by that name, but it's not quite clear where the word "Garo" came from. The British used to refer to the people who lived south of the Brahmaputra River as Garrows, according to some publications.
