Meghalaya "the abode of clouds" is a state in northeast India. Meghalaya was formed on 21 January 1972 by carving out two districts from the state of Assam: (a) the United Khasi Hills and Jaintia Hills and (b) the Garo Hills. Meghalaya covers an area of
approximately 22,429 square kilometres, with a length-to-breadth ratio of about 3:1.
The state is bound to the south by the Bangladeshi divisions of Mymensingh and Sylhet, to the west by the Bangladeshi division of
Rangpur, and to the north and east by India's State of Assam. The capital of Meghalaya is Shillong. During the British rule of India,
the British imperial authorities nicknamed it the "Scotland of the East". English is the official language of Meghalaya.
Distance between Shillong to Sohra: 54 km, many tourists travel to Sohra and come back to Shillong the same day, in my opinion, its
better to do atleast one night stay at Sohra, previously known as Cherrapunji.

I am your 6th like 😊. Mountains of green is a mountain of gold with silver cloud drifting, so pleasing to the eyes and the garden of caves with all its beautiful waterfalls, the mismerising sunset, ohhh I miss being there .

@@amitmondal9088 অনেক অনেক ধন্যবাদ ভাই। বর্ষাকালে মেঘালয় ভ্রমণ এক অনন্য অভিজ্ঞতা। সবথেকে রোমাঞ্চকর হচ্ছে এর পরের পর্ব। ওয়ার্ল্ড হেরিটেজের তকমা পাওয়া মেঘালয় জীবন্ত ডবল ডেকার ব্রিজ। 3500 সিঁড়ি ভেঙে তিন কিলোমিটার রাস্তা জঙ্গলের মধ্যে দিয়ে ট্রেক করে পৌঁছাতে হয় সেখানে। মাঝে পার হতে হয় দুটি সাসপেনশন ব্রিজ। পথে পড়বে বহু ঝর্ণা এবং খরস্রোতা নদী। খুব কষ্টকর হলেও সারাদিনের এই ট্রেকিং একটা অন্যরকম অভিজ্ঞতা। একই সঙ্গে একই দিনে আমরা দেখে নিয়েছিলাম মেঘালয়ের সবথেকে রাজসিক জলপ্রপাত । সামনের শুক্রবার ৪ ঠা অক্টোবর আসবে এই ভিডিও। ভালো থেকো।
