Honestly speaking, while Shillong is absolutely beautiful and fun, the experience is on an absolutely differently level if you are adventure loving and are travelling on a bike. I have completed three bike trips from Guwahati to Shillong to Cherrapunji and back and am planning another bike trip probably in October. Traveling by a cab / car actually takes away most of your experience.
