শিলং থেকে ডাউকি ফিরতে মনোমুগ্ধকর ২টি জলপ্রপাত দেখলাম যেগুলো ফেরার দিনে মাস্ট লিস্টে রাখবেন। এর মধ্যে একটি ৪০ মিনিট এর ট্রেকিং আছে, কিন্তু ক্লান্ত হলেও ১০০% উসুল এবং ট্যুর শেষে স্নিগ্ধ উমগট নদীতে একটি আরামদায়ক বোট ট্রিপ দিতে ভুলবেন না।

একটা যে,পরিষ্কার নদী আছে,ঐ টা তে তো গেলেন না?এটা কি দূরে?

আপনি খুব সম্ভবত উমগট নদীর কথা বলছেন। ডাউকি বোটিং পয়েন্ট থেকেও যাওয়া যায় অথবা আপনি সোনেঙপেডেঙ থেকেও উঠতে পারেন। ডাউকি বোটিং পয়েন্ট ফেরত আসার দিনে লাস্ট একটিভিটি হিসেবে রাখতে পারেন, বর্ডার এর একদম কাছে। সোনেঙপেডেঙ বর্ডার থেকে কিছুটা দূরে তবে অনেক সুন্দর, স্বচ্ছ নদীর পানি ওখানেও পাওয়া যায়। আরেকটা বিষয় হলো শীতকাল ছাড়া স্বচ্ছ পানি পাওয়া মুশকিল।

উমগট নদী (Umngot River) শীতকালে অনেক পরিষ্কার থাকে, তবে এশিয়ার সবচেয়ে পরিষ্কার নদী না। আপনি যেটা বলছেন সেটা হলো মাউলিনং গ্রাম/Mawlynnong Village - যেটা কিনা এশিয়ার সবচেয়ে পরিষ্কার গ্রাম।

এখন পর্যন্ত কোনো অপ্রীতিকর পরিস্থিতির ঘটনা শুনিনি। তাই সেইফ বলে ধরে নেয়াই যায়। ডাউকি থেকে যেই গাড়িটা ভাড়া করে চেরাপুঞ্জি গিয়েছিলাম, সেই একই ড্রাইভার আমাদেরকে পুরো ট্রিপ ড্রাইভ করে ঘুরে দেখার অফার করেছিল আর তার অফার রিজনেবল লেগেছিলো বলে তার সাথেই ঘুরেছি। প্রথম দিন একটু অস্বস্তি লাগলেও পরে আর লাগেনি। ডাউকির বর্ডার সাইডের লোকাল ড্রাইভার হওয়ায় জানি যে কিছু হলে ওখানকার বর্ডার ফোর্সের কাছে কমপ্লেইন করতে পারবো। আপনি নিশ্চিন্তে ঘুরে আসতে পারেন।

I reccomend you to visit west khasi hills and south west khasi hills as well you will not be disappointed.. best time July onwards

Approximately 30km+ distance, depending on vehicle speed, nearly 1 hour lage.

আপনার গাড়ি ভাড়া কতো টাকা লেগেছে পুরো টুরে। গারির ফোন নম্বর থাকলে দিবেন।

গাড়ি ভাড়া আসার আর যাওয়ার দিনে ৩৫০০ রুপি করে। মাঝের ২ দিন ৩০০০ রুপি করে। ড্রাইভার এর ফোন হারায় যাওয়ার কারণে কোন ফোন নাম্বার ছাড়াই কাজ চালাতে হয়েছে। তাই শেয়ার করতে পারছি না বলে দুঃখিত।
