I watched the Oprah interview, their series, and Harry's book, as I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, in case my opinions are unfair. Each of these was so ridiculous, full of lies, and so highly deluded, with a massively inflated sense of their own importance. Well said Angela Levin. You can't change Dickens, nor Shakespeare come to that which is what the Globe theatre is attempting. Miss Havisham is one of Dickens most iconic characters. Gililan Anderson played her superbly in a BBC production a few years ago. The most recent BBC version of Great Expectations was crude in the extreme and showed no understanding of what the author was trying to say. It's puzzling why Olivia Colman became involved!
