That’s her problem, she doesn’t really want to work. I’m sure she really believed joining the royal family was a sinecure - lots of money, beautiful clothes and jewellery, occasional prestigious well publicised outings and luxurious palaces and castles to live in. Then she found out that she was actually expected to work, her income was limited, there were strict rules to follow and she was well down the pecking order and horror of horrors she actually had to meet ordinary people and attend places like women’s refuges and celebratory street parties. Add in Prince Dimwit who has never ever had to earn money from his own ability, hard work or skill and she threw a fit and decamped to the USA where she probably thought the title had far more cachet, only to find out that once the novelty had worn off, they both became ‘also ran(s)’.
