Master gardener here - the pink flowers are cosmos. They grow to be quite big so only one plant should go in each black pot and I would really recommend getting bigger pots for them instead

Er on the side of underwatering if you're unsure. Dried out soil is easier to fix than overwhatered. Put your finger into the soil all the way up to the knuckle, if it's dry you should water. Indoor plants are much easier to overwater than outdoor plants but if you know you have a tendency to over water, buy or make an airy potmix. It's the lack of oxygen around the roots that damages the plant when overwatering. Just mixing in perlite with regular soil is the easiest way to do it for potted plants both in- and outdoors.
