Im just starting my junk journal journey but im really excited about it because i believe this is exactly what i have been needing in my life. Maybe that sounds weird but i have been wanting to express myself creatively for a long time and also journal for a long time but i have a definite fear of failure that gets me stuck before i begin. I have always collected little mementos that dont necessary relate to each other and they just end up being clutter. But now Im excited because i already feel so inspired and i finally feel like i found something where i can be creative and also work out some of my personality kinks that have been holding me back all at the same time.

Thank you for these tips on finding our journaling style. I tend to be very critical of my style and listening to you reminds me that when I am critical of my work it takes the joy out of the process. I'm going to strive for joy, not perfection.

Exactly. We often learn by doing. Even if we personally aren't happy with the result - we've explored and learnt a lesson. And yes, we evolve and have different phases along the way. What has amazed me in my junk journaling journey, is that sometimes I look at work which I created a long time ago, and think 'wow! - how on earth did I do that'?!!! So, experimenting and playing are important. 🧡💚🤎
