Also if anyone is trying to separate art from artist with this, I want to point out that as an act of "Symbolism" in the show (which is almost like a 2nd draft for the first game) whenever joel is "bad" he uses an AR-15 style rifle. But when he is good he uses a wooden rifle. And in the scene where he saves Ellie and kills those fireflys he switches. The camera draws attention to the swap. But I'm a gun guy. He swapped from a ruger mini-14 to an AR-15. To translate, the ruger mini-14 is semi-auto, just like a civilan AR-15, AND it uses the exact same kind of bullet as an ar-15, which is 5.56NATO. So yeah, that kind of spells out Druckman being totally tone deaf and full of himself. He tries to show how bad Joel is, but he's in a morally correct place AND the type of gun he uses doesn't change his acts anyway.
