I do understand where Megyn was coming from, she is saying she was not forced into work because of the feminist movement, she just genuinely loves to work and loves her career, and got blessed with a husband who is all for that and loves it ! Jesus Christ there are men who are chefs who love to cook all the time and are happy with their marriage . Even traditional roles have been modernized a bit . If candance and Matt are talking the true traditional roles in their true sense , well candance would not be here working because it is beloved most traditional men don’t want their wives to work at all!

I was a stay at home mom of two kids. My “babies” are now in their twenties, and I am going to college. On my first day of school, one of the teachers went around the class, and asked us to share what we are most proud of. My answer? I stayed at home to raise my own children. My kids were never in day care. I volunteered at their schools so I could know all of the teachers, students, and other parents. I could tell that I was judged by my female peers. I know that some, if not most, looked down their noses at me, because I didn’t have a “career”. I think some even felt sorry for me. Guess what though - I got the opposite vibe from my male peers! I was respected and appreciated by the dads and male teachers, much more than the moms and female teachers. Anyway, I am now the “mom” of my college classes, and the kids that I go to school with now, respect what I did for my kids. Love from Canada ❤

I have to admit that being 58 and having been through 2 marriages... 1 non-traditional... And one traditional... That the former was an unhappy mess with me attempting to be egalitarian, but her unable to be equal... And wanting to be the boss. Never satisfied, never happy... Always complaining. I had honestly given up women until I met my second wife... And what a joy to be in a relationship like that. I was excited to come home to her every single day for 12 years until she passed... And I still love and miss her to this very day. I don't know what works for others... And always considered myself someone who respects a woman's right to be able to choose a career, or life that she wants... But I must admit That providing for my wife and being appreciated for the work that I put in, coming home to a house that smelled like heaven because she loved cooking... Well... She made me want to be a better man and father... to not let her down. So thankful and blessed to have been able to share the time we had.

@@dkalii98 thank you... It's been 6 and a half years now and though I still miss her, the tremendous ache which hung with me the first couple years has gradually changed to warm memories which often brings a smile... and sometimes conversations with her when I'm driving down a stretch of road where I used to call her to see how her day was going. I have been encouraged to get back on the horse relationship-wise by associates or friends, however, I don't believe it would be fair to any woman I dated as I know in my heart that I couldn't help but compare them to her... and that they would certainly come up short, even if they were a wonderful person. So instead I've put my energy into family... and do what I can to maintain close connections and positive relationships with my children, Mom, brother and sisters... and friends. I've been blessed with so many good people in my life and though they can't replace my wife, they help give me purpose and have been like a salve on the hurt I initially had to find my way through. My apologies for the long response... Lol... That was a short question but I'm doing fine seemed inauthentic and too abbreviated. Didn't want to brush off your kindness.

Disagree. There is an attack in wat he said. He implies that the lady dating is not good enough and will need to change so that the guy is not being used for a free meal. As soon as I got pregnant, I knew I didn’t want to go back to work, I wanted to raise my own baby, not dump him off at a day care for someone else to take care of him; my maternal instinct was really strong. I stayed home for 20 years and raised my kids. I picked up a couple of part time jobs over that time, when I could work in the evenings when my husband was home. It wasn’t waste we had a very tight budget and didn’t buy anything frivolous. But once in my forties and my youngest was in high school and working after school, I went and got myself a career, I work for an insurance company now. When I retire, I’ll have 20 years in with a pension and a 401k. And both my sons say they had the best childhood and want the same for their own kids. Both their wives quit their jobs as well and love being home with their kids.

I went to therapy a few years ago. I immediately told my therapist that divorce was not an option. She then proceeded to try to get me to leave my wonderful husband. Our issues were circumstantial. Our teenager was making choices that were really detrimental to our family. I was depressed and wanted help. All my therapist tried to do was to get me to leave my husband and get me in school. She asked, “if your house was on fire, who are you going to save?”, “your husband will still have a chance to see the kids every other weekend”, “why does he treat you like a Princess?”, “treating Christian couples is really difficult”. My husbands therapist told him to, “step back and let your wife lead more”. The therapist’ advice made our lives worse. I’m so thankful God allowed us to see what was going on and we stopped going to therapy. Years later we are stronger and better. We turned to God and our church. If you go to therapy be so so careful.

People do it on one income, but they have to eliminate debt or severely lower it, sacrifice the vacations, eating out, nice cars, new house, private or parochial schools, buying "wants" rather than needs, and basically all the luxuries have to be curtailed and cut out....unless the first income is high. It IS a matter of priorities. Staying home and home schooling cuts out a ton of expenses. I will say this: Every couple I know who decided not to have kids in their 20s and 30s, ended up adopting in their 40s. Now, THAT's expensive!

Im still single, got baptized last year and celibate for 2 years. Last year i was deep in depression and drinking heavily. I went to get my annual check up and when the doctor touched me, i suddenly realized it was months i haven’t talked to another human in person, and haven’t felt another human touch. It was in no form sexual but I realized how much I missed intimacy and a community and to be loved. I was there in the doctor’s office bawling. He didn’t say anything comforting, all he did was going to prescribe for me antidepressants. I told him no, all i need to stop drinking, eat healthy, consistently go to church and start workout, like I used to when i had my life together. Thank God I was watching Candace then and open my eyes to these drugs. Thinking that a year prior I tried to get my therapist to prescribe them for me, thank God I stopped seeing her before she could. I can only imagine what my life would have become with these drugs and drinking that heavily at the time. Not having family, human contact and on these drugs would have probably rendered me homeless since was at rock bottom in my life. I also had in an IUD as well. I took that crap out last year. I had it in for 2 years. I know that messed up my hormones causing me to act crazy and ended my relationship with the love of my life that sent me over the edge. I almost went crazy. Jesus saved a mere sinner like myself.

why can't people just live how they wanna live... if someone wants a life where they raise the kids at home, and cooks and cleans, what's the problem with that, and if someone wants to both work and share the household chores, what's wrong with that? both are just fine, I don't get why those types has to argue what's best, obviously the choice both parties makes is what's best for them. In Norway you have to have a very high paying job to be able to support a family with a stay at home mom, it's basically impossible unless you're kind of rich. So here most couples both have a job and share the other responsibilities. II don't want kids (childhood trauma) but I wouldn't mind staying at home to cook and clean for a guy if I loved him. If you love someone you want to make them feel good, so why not.

I agree with Candace and Matt in a case where a woman wants everything provided while still working and not doing anything traditionally feminine. There can be a balance while still maintaining some traditional aspects. As an example I am a working woman and my husband works, he provides more financially and I provide more in terms of taking care of our home. @robertdelisle7309 Isn't 'Trad Wife' something feminists came up to demean stay at home moms anyways? Cause I don't think they call themselves that. If we are pointing out what seems to be hypocrisy, lets begin with the fact that women that are traditional don't have any of these standards for it, you can work and be traditional. This concept that if you are a Trad wife you are submissive and spend your whole day to fulfill your husband's and kid's wishes comes from people that are NOT traditional, they are the ones that makes these rules and if women don't do it they point fingers at them, like you are doing. 'Look, she's not following rule 137 of the Trad Wife Law'. So yes, what you are doing is petty, cause we don't know how their home is like, she says she cooks and even if she's the one dealing with the nanny and housekeeper, that's enough.
@robertdelisle7309

@@superkd7030 so she is a traditional wife because she cooks sometimes? Matt Walsh’s wife seems to fit the label better. She is a stay at home wife who raises the children and takes care of the home. That’s traditional. I have no problem with women working full-time or part-time. Each family dynamic is different. So do whatever works for your household. But if your wife has a full time career and has a nanny taking care of your children while you are away, that’s not what wives have traditionally done. If Candance is considered a trad wife, then traditional no longer means traditional. That’s what progressives do, they redefine words.

"I feel accomplished by both working full time and being a mom to 5 grown kids and a wife with 8 grandkids." There is sometimes need for two incomes to prevent children from starving, but this rarely the case. Other options include procreative control, and limiting the amount of children to what can be supported by a single income provided by the male. In other words, you may have had to work as well, but that was because you decided to get pregnant at least 5 times. And since you have full procreative control in the West, beyond actual coitus, your husband had absolutely no authority to insist on your pregnancy. At _any_ point you could have limited your reproduction. You held _all_ the authority, and therefore all the responsibility to insure you bore no more children than could be properly supported without sacrifice in their care. And that is exactly what you did by working full-time too. Somebody watched those children. And it wasn't you - the person evolved to look for subtle changes in color or temperature, or smell, that could indicate early signs of sickness, the person born to birth and caretake the next generation in honor of those who came before you, mothers _and_ fathers. You an applaud yourself for making "the best" of a difficult situation. But let's not pretend that you did not put yourself there by your own actions. And your children paid the price, But if you have 8 grandchildren, likely you are a Boomer. This level of blind narcissism, and self-congratulation is typical of that generation.

Oh and next time you find it possible to drag your eyes away from your daily dose of puppy porn, try to focus on God's true plan by noticing that in every other species, the mothers do everything for the survival of their offspring (which makes sense because the females pass on far more DNA than the males) - and they do it all without a male because they can only tolerate males around when they're ready to mate or if they give birth to them.

Unfortunately, being a trad wife is not supposed to guarantee that a man never leaves. It’s like a man thinking being a trad man and providing and protecting for your family guarantees your wife might not cheat or want divorce if the relationship is not working for some other reason. Relationships are affected or influenced by multiple factors. Being a trad wife enhances the experience of the family and ultimately leads to better long lasting relationships.

We share the responsibilities regardless of what they are. With her wealth and that of her husband, I find it unbelievable that Candace scrubs toilets, does 100% of the laundry for a family of 5, scrubs window screens, washes windows, cleans out the freezer and refrigerator, does all the grocery shopping, bathes and changes hee children, prepares 3 meals a day plus exercises and prepares and records her show and does everything herself. Not every woman has personal and professional wealth enough to hire staff. Its much easier to do all the family, husband and children care plus household chores when you have help.

But why does that make her less traditional?…we’re talking about respecting traditional gender roles and characteristics but it does not mean an extreme version of that as if women are not allowed to have help or to work a little…. But it does mean that women keep and bask in their femininity while men are allowed to be truly masculine.

And me griping about it doesn’t mean I am less feminine either, but it does give a great example of how an uneven work balance can cause resentment and other marital issues. It is what it is. Men and women are different and think different. Men are always on average going to be physically stronger (I am jealous of this, I wish I could have that type of raw power to do heavy lifting). Being able to hire someone to clean the house or do some laundry doesn't take away from the traditional wife role. As long as she is getting plenty of time with her kids and is there for her husband, and as long as the husband doesn't have to do the household chores because of her job (that is for the modern couple)then she is still keeping the traditional role that the wife/mother has in taking care of the family. If she has a maid to help with the housework, or a weekly or monthly cleaning service, there is nothing wrong with that and it doesn't interfere with the trad wife role. It doesn't say in the rules the trad wife can't get help she can afford to get. It's about not having someone else raise the kids besides the parents. Being looked after for part of the day by other people is reasonable. Traditional wives of the past had babysitters, school & other activities that took the children out from under their mothers sometimes.

i always say that i've never net women more traditional and feminine then the women in my family, especially my mother. She married rich and even she didn't have to scrub every inch of the house, the parents could afford to hire someone to help clean but my mother was still at home even tho she was still in school part time and then eventually went on to get a career of her own the older we got. Women especially have a hard time understanding that kids needs parenting because they are too busy tryna compete with men and become men that they abandon their roles and value a good and healthy home last in their lives. Meanwhile they can just focus on building a family as young as possible and then raise those kids and once they're grown or almost, they can begin whatever career they like without putting anyone at risk other than themselves

Candace, hearing such a strong, intelligent woman, say the things you said about SAHM's was so encouraging. I grew up with very "independent" woman. They always worked, owned businesses, and took care of everything financially. Unfortunately, they completely abandoned their children and became grandmother's that don't even know their grandkids' birthdays. I never wanted that life for my children. I have a wonderful husband who feels the same way. It's very hard to find that in today's world. The woman in my family looked down on me for making the choice to raise my own children. They always make comments like, "Oh, I could never just sit at home all day and do nothing." My own mother told me that she didn't like us kids enough to be a stay at home mom. She couldn't be around us that much. So hearing an influential woman out here supporting a woman's choice to raise their babies is just a breath of fresh air. Thank you Candace. Yes. I had to work because I was a divorced mom. I valued all the time I could get with my kids. I liked being with them. I could never understand the moms who longed for summer break to end, so they could see their kids less. I was very blessed to get the kind of job -- when my kids were still in grade school -- where I could make my own schedule and had flexible (full time) hours. I home schooled for a few years. Best decision we ever made as a family. I don't understand how women think you sit all day. If you are running a household and raising kids, there is always something to do. @@casebased8391 This is exactly the hypocrisy that is wrong with the tradwife movement. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be a SAHM. Not everyone can have a career and not everyone can have a satisfying job. Some of us purely work for the money, so if you want to take of your family and can afford to: please do that. Just don't listen to these women telling you that you shouldn't get an education or have a plan B to be considered a loving wife and mother, while they themselves are trying to make money off of you. @@MH-et5sn It might sound odd to someone unfamiliar with the history of it, but I would agree that its more the industrial/capitalist system that has created an "unnatural" culture. Thats when we began to see men and women needing to work outside the home (ie in factories, because a small artisan/farmer lifestyle was no longer possible), which lead to more of a breakdown of the family, and eventually the community. Aside from that, the average women has always had roles outside of motherhood, generally inside the house, but in artisan-like positions. New technology greatly reduced women's work, and in the mid-20th century I imagine that lead to a feeling of purposelessness. Women do have time to spare, and they have ambition to do important things outside of motherhood. I dont think they should be vilified for that.
@sarahlynn7894

Well to be fair, feminism emerged originally because men abused their role as the leaders by forbidding women from doing almost everything, forbidding them to have a mind of their own, demeaning their dignity, and treating them like slaves in the household. Now it's true that feminism has gone to the opposite extreme which has become toxic, but men played a part in feminisms existence. Like the other commenter above that glorifies Andrew Tate, that is a very bad example of what a man should be. Andrew Tate is extremely toxic in the way he talks about women, how he treats them, how he takes biblical scripture out of context to describe women as slaves for men and to justify his abusive vile behavior towards women, so he's definitely not the answer either. It's not surprising Andrew chose to convert to Islam with how most Islamic men treat women barbarically and look at them as second class individuals. I'd rather look up to men like Dr. Jordan Peterson. It really comes down to women respecting men and men cherishing their wives. Both are equally as important in a marriage. Both have very different roles that were made for us, but they are so beautiful because they compliment each other naturally and make marriage so beautiful as by design by God. This is coming from a very traditional wife here. I absolutely adore and respect my devoted husband that cherishes me like a Queen! It's 100/100 in our marriage. I guess we're one of the lucky ones, but we also have Christ in our marriage so that makes all the difference.

Many moms have jobs and care for their families at the same time. It's totally OK if the wife/mom doesn't cook or clean everyday, hubands and children will be just fine. Men won't be traumatized if they cook or do the laundry themselves. No woman should feel guilty for having a career. Having a job is for many women necassary to bring food to the table (we don't all have rich parents/hubands or youtube channels). Not to forget that earning your own money gives you the freedom to leave abusive situations (SURPRISE men are NOT engels) and also helps you to survive in case of divorce or death.

She's not saying it's bad for women to work if they need to. What she's saying is there are plenty of men who would want to provide for their families and wife's and get home to find her there. It's not an obligation on any woman. My own mom was mostly a stay at home mom most her life when I was still with her, but still had part time jobs from time to time. She also mentioned that Megan Kelly has a problem with everything Matt Walsh said when his point wasn't about shaming women, it was expressing what men like. How when men say what they want it's wrong, and when women say what they like and want no one can say anything.

@zainabmaraj355 'Shaming working moms'? The trend is of shaming stay at home moms, AKA Trad Wives, the amount of vitriolic articles deeming Trad Wives are evil is disgusting, just do a google search and its beyond shaming what's going on, but obviously the bullies are always the victims no matter what. It's not their faut that when they say they are happy, you guys take that as a insult, that's your problem. That other people's happiness makes you feel ashamed of yourself should be something to reflect on, because nobody is actually shaming working moms, quite the opposite.

you mean they take their kids to work all day with them and parent while they are working? or do you mean they go to work all day, all week and leave the child with someone else that they pay to either watch or teach the kids? cause there aren't enough hours in the day to do both, this is why they are shammed because they say unrealistic and mxronic shxt like this. this superhero single mom trope is disgusting and insulting peoples intelligence, it's literally impossible to be working full time and still raise your children, MAN OR WOMAN it doesn't matter. Telling me you're a "working mom" is like calling me an idiot, you think i don't have the intelligence to understand how ridiculous that is. Either, your kids or your job is taking a hit, you can't be i both places at the same time, actually both your work and family pay the price of your indecisiveness cause you aren't giving your all to neither for any of them to succeed

The problem is that traditionally guys abused these traditional rolls, as the man is in the controlling position, they can easily abuse it and many have abused it along the years... That's what led to the women's revolution. Because everything wasn't right. So you have to bring guys to the point where they can perform their roll not in an exploitive way.

I agree with Meghan. She was reasonably responding to what he said. She started off saying: “Some men prefer this.” I am a stay at home mom currently but I understand both sides here. Also, how come nobody is bringing up the fact that much of the reasons women entered the workforce is a reaction to women being left with nothing if the man they were with could not be relied on. My grandmother and several women in my family were in abusive situations. As a result they encouraged women to protect themselves by learning how to provide for themselves. Unfortunately, like most things in our culture things get taken to far to the point where we degrade women that take care of their family. Also, I think it’s not enough to show women that it’s noble to be a SAHM we need to teach girls and women how to appropriately choose men that are worthy, capable and competent.

I focused on my career early on. I wanted kids but had every intention of working too. The minute I held my first child all that changed. It did take me a five years and two more children to finally make the decision to stay home mostly because of finances. But I never regretted it for a single second. I will never look back and think I missed out on anything by leaving my job. And I have never been bothered by ppl looking down on my choice because I know how blessed I am and how happy my choice has made me. My only regret is the years I worked when I could have been at home with my family. It’s gone by so fast and now my heart is starting to hurt knowing they will be on their own soon.

My husband and I make good money, we both work a lot, I do most of the cooking, cleaning, and yard work, he helps with them a bit here and there, we could hire a company to come do a deep cleaning once every six months but we don’t, people in our neighborhood who make less do though. People criticizing Candace because they think there’s no way she cooks, cleans, takes care of her kids, are ridiculous. You know that our grandmothers had around nine kids, were active in their community, gardened, canned food, made all of the meals, cleaned house, didn’t have washing machines so had to hand wash and dry clothes, could sew/knit/crochet, and they educated their kids… modern women are lazy and when they see a woman doing more they tear them down. Maybe you should get off social media and try to channel the spirit if your grandma and great grandma, stop making excuses.

I agree with the therapy/psychologist aspect. I was not in a good place in my life about 10 years ago, and I went to 3 different psychologist before I found one I actually helped me. The psychologists before I found one that was good. We’re just telling me things I want to hear, or things they thought I wanted to hear, and nothing got better. Finally I found one that I actually benefited from. Though she isn’t perfect, she genuinely help me out of depression and more. My life just became more orderly and I had a better outlook on life. But I do remember her telling me that most psychologists and therapists are not qualified regardless of the degree/education they’ve earned. And this psychologist didn’t just agree with me when I initially started to see her, she actually gave me good feedback, feedback I didn’t initially like, which i why I keep going back. I agree nonetheless that majority of therapists/psychologist are not up to par as they should be.

PLEASE CANDACE TALK ABOUT ACCUTANE. I’m licensed esti and constantly shocked how many people have been/are prescribed accutane and additionally the amount of people who told me their acne came right back (not all but majority). In high school I had a doc suggest it and by grace of God I did not take. But I was prescribed WITHOUT them even using a Woods Lamp on me, doing a Dutch test/hormone, nor looking for PARASITES. Majority of acne is parasites, in gut or even on the ecology of your face ex: demodex mites/ demodicosis. Most parasites live in us without causing harm, but when our immune lowers our body’s own ecology or garden is out of wack. It’s such a powerful drug I don’t understand how it reached market. Her getting prescribed pharma drugs before tests is how western medicine works… still prescribing drugs like it’s the 1800s despite having technology to actually see what is going on in the brain…. Or body. It’s a business. It cares about profits. But it’s making people sick and we all have the power to heal ourselves, western medicine has tried to take that power away

I too must reflect on my privilege of being the exception. My husband owns his business and we (I) have the luxury of being at home raising our children, and taking care of our family. Matt is absolutely correct, there is a responsibility for the woman when your husband is paying for everything. The expectation that we have an equal responsibility in taking care of the home is a critical one. I believe Megan’s projections onto Matt are just a reflection of how unhappy she may actually be and not realize it. In everything there has to be a balance. And I am unsure Megan Kelly has found her balance. We’re moving away from the Bible more as a society then ever before. I am happy that more women are speaking out against it.

I think Megyn Kelly is omitting a very important point, that she’s so rich she can afford a house maid and a cook I’m sure so those things get taken care of. Most women aren’t able to balance things that way. I also wonder how truly happy her husband is with a woman who wears the pants. Between the two of them he clearly looks like a beta.

I love how Maddie said when the man paid for the date, it activated something feral in her. I couldn't agree more. It's not even about the money. But those who are generous with their money will most likely be generous with their time, their energy, their compassion, their mercy, their love, their support...etc. These are things that women go ga ga for. So before you get mad at them for them wanting you to pay, just know there is a much deeper reason why.

It’s so true. As women, we are less happy, more depressed, and detached from our children as ever. Men were made to be providers. My husband is 22 and I’m 25, we’re working towards him being the only household income so I can be a SAHM not because that’s what we want per say, but because that’s what’s truly best for our babies. There is no shame in this!

From Proverbs 31 A wife of noble character, who can find? She is far more precious than rubies. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he lacks nothing of value. She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. She appraises a field and buys it; from her earnings, she plants a vineyard. She sees that her gain is good, and her lamp is not extinguished at night. She stretches out her hands to the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. When it snows, she has no fear for her household, for they are all clothed in scarlet. She makes coverings for her bed; her clothing is fine linen and purple. She makes linen garments and sells them; she delivers sashes to the merchants. Clearly, the woman that God would have all women to be both tends to her household and runs a business, or two, or three.
