As a Canadian watching this election from up North, I completely agree as do the vast majority of us here and across other similar nations. We are seeing many countries echoing the US (including us here) who have traditionally sat on the left now completely rejecting modern liberalism. Conservatism is no longer “the old people’s’” policy but instead the common denominator amongst all demographics. The left has only their selves to blame for their alienation. To those who are upset, understand you have a man in office who deeply cherishes your country and is adamant about improving it, even if you don’t agree with how he will do so. We should all be so lucky to have such a leader. The sky is not falling. Democracy will prevail and you just saw an example of it.

Very well said. As a student of Political Science & History I have found the last 12 years absolutely fascinating. The long held ideals of left leaning liberalism being the bastion of the working classes and right leaning conservatism ideological home of the middle class & business is turning on its head. A good example of this is the Labour government in the UK very clearly no longer the party of the ordinary blue collar working class Brits who make up the majority of the population. In fact they appear to DESPISE the indigenous working classes. My personal take on this is that extremists within the left (commonly known as Woke) have swung soooo far to the left they have effectively gone full circle and crossed over into far-right fascistic territory, just as with 1930’s National Socialism. A very VERY clear demonstration of the Horseshoe Theory.
