Assalamu aleikum habibi, Regarding the point you made at 16:33. A lot of the elders are afraid of the youth unfortunately. Some of these youth will attack you for looking at them the wrong way so it's not as straightforward as we may think. We all have a part to play, starting with our own homes and then branching out to the wider community. May Allah accept your efforts

Loved every bit of this podcasts. What I have concluded as having 3 brothers and now a mother of very small boys (5 And 2) is that boys are not for the weak hearted 😅

The point the brother made at 22:00 about Somali father's not being present enough in the household is also the same in the Bangladeshi community. Probably the same for most south Asian communities but I can only speak from experience as a Bangladeshi born and raised in London

Its high but not the case for all. My father was in my life so yes I like that we speak about this but lets also highlight the ones who are present. Alhamdulillah bro

one factor of the fathers absence is this hunger for more wealth
@sharmark1067
@sharmark1067 Жыл бұрын
@@n33mod actually no the biggest reason is the lack of western family dynamics being prscticed. Somalis come from a pastoral back ground where men were never invovled in raising children. Only provided shelter and food. Fast forward to 2023. Most of these fathers never had a father who raised them and so they don't see the destruction there absence is causing. Couple that with coming to a foreign country and having to work really hard for basic necessities. Its a recipe for disaster.

In the diaspora specially in the UK. I think it's because guys want a traditional housewife whilst the girls are usually more educated. Alhamdulilah it's changing with the younger group as the guys below 25 are much more educated than their orders and it's much better. It's the shock of first coming to an environment one doesn't know about.
