Hi Rebecca! I am under an immense amount of stress right now and this video was just what I needed to help me laugh! I agree with you about these products, especially the Pucci palette and the D & G palette. My annoyance currently though is with Dior’s customer service. They hyped up the holiday snow globe for Platinum loyalty members and then didn’t send the globe to everyone who qualified. I personally spent over $4500 on Dior this year and I did not get a snow globe! The substitute gift was very minuscule in comparison, which only added insult to injury. While every brand can be expected to have some occasional flops or “meh” products, poor customer service involving false promises is, in my opinion, much more egregious. Hi Rebecca , first of all happy holidays!!! Love the video so much ! In answer to the BARBIE Patrick Ta blush , I think (my guess) that the reason of this year’s release is because 2024 is Barbie’s 65th birthday / anniversary ( she was created in 1959). We have had (still ongoing) an exhibition at the modern museum in London. I guess same reason why Stanley has launched a Barbie collection quenchers this year. 🩷🩷

I love them so much that after I bought one (which I had resisted since their release), I proceeded to buy all of the rest of the shades except the berry. It is rare a blush doesn’t fade on me, and these last all day, work over powder, and give such a beautiful, healthy glow with zero stickiness. Absolutely love them!

This was brilliant fun. The combination of your knowledge of the industry, your honesty and a bit of jaded wit - fabulous entertainment! Tbh I would have been not just amazed, I would have been *concerned* if you hadn't included the Supergoop item that gave you The Blemish™. Though you were very restrained in keeping it down to a Meh. The D&G nunchuck was definitely a comedy highlight but I think my Meh of the year is Guerlain as a brand who I think this year decided to move from competing in the high end beauty market, to giving up and openly trolling their clientele. First they casually announce that the expensive, collectible lipstick cases we've all been investing in for years *for sustainability and as heirlooms because we could trust a brand like Guerlain* are being rendered useless and redundant by new expensive collectible lipstick cases they shamelessly market as investment pieces *for sustainability and as heirlooms because we can trust a brand like Guerlain*. Then they create outstandingly beautiful packaging anyone would want to own and deliberately fill it with makeup you'd have to force yourself to buy far less use. Its top level trolling.

Hi Rebecca, You are so funny!😂 I agree with almost everything you said with one exception. Pillow Talk mascara from CT gave me panda eyes more than any other bad mascara. I think you missed Chanel with Halloween eyeshadows-fall and holiday collection. 😁 Plus the lavender blush invisible for all skin colours. The eyeshadow trio palettes from Chantecaille (limited edition) are very boring and uninspired. I am a person who likes very neutral shades but that collection was a big meh even for me. Thanks for sharing!🙂

That Super Goop Blemish Maker Protectant doesn’t even rise to MEHkup. I give that product a 😡 every time I see it on your behalf. (Like you, I LOVE Ciele, which I tried after your videos. It’s dreamy!) If the Guerlain x Gucci had been their original baked formula it would have made it out of MEHkup (maybe). But in a pressed powder formula? With that color story? The packaging did all the heavy lifting! It is the poster child for MEHkup (my phone now autocorrects “mehkup” to “MEHkup”written just like that. I’ve never been so delighted that my phone learned something new) The best thing about that Charlotte mascara is the glass packaging. I wanted to love it because the tube is so heavy and nice. But it’s truly meh. I’ll use it up, but I’ll never repurchase!

Hi dear Rebecca this was so much fun to watch 😂😂😂😂😂😂Which products did i recognize, the Hourglass blush, what a trash, i decluttered this, i love a subtle blush, but i see more when i put water on my face 🙃and that CT mascara, also tried, what a sticky mess, i only want my Chantecaille mascara. I gave the CT away to a friend who is has the KLM airline lashes, so it does not matter which mascara for her, and she was happy with it, so, everybody happy. But i stick to my Chantecaille mascara, it's more espensive, but it never irritates, it leaves a beautiful result always, and always, the one with the serum in it, and the one without, that does not matter. With regard to the Patrick Ta foundation: 1). I think that if you were 20 years older, you very well might love this foundation. The dewiness and cushiness of it works better on drier and more mature skin than pretty much anything else I have tried (and when I went to Sephora to try it, the other woman who was trying it and really liking it was in her 60's as well). 2). You test all your foundations without powder or setting spray, but I just don't think that you CAN wear this foundation this way without being really mad at it. I strongly suggest either the new Makeup By Mario setting spray or the new Nars setting spray to go with it - they are really transformative with this one! Loving this video series in general though. ❤

Love the meh makeup edition! I have wanted to like supergoop but every single product I have tried has been an absolute fail. I’ve just written them off as a brand. Now, you know how I feel about palettes with haphazard shadow placement and it appears Gucci and DG seriously outdid themselves with those products😂

I loved the hourglass liquid blush in moment, it took me forever to purchase it because their was so many mixed opinions on it but it works great for me I put a drop on the back of my hand dab my brush in it a few times and put it on and it looks beautiful. I mean I get a doe foot would probably be more user friendly to people but overall I love it have no issues with the application, formula and the color I got I really love . I am so over PTA pink blushes give us some neutrals not 20 pink blushes and overall I'm sick of the pink blush it's like every brand give us more neutral colored ones.

So I am still trying with the Hourglass blush, because … money spent! So I shake and squeeze and it’s like ketchup, nothing and then too much! But it’s not as frustrating as the Surratt Dew Drop foundation. Yeah I’m weak, but I store the bottle upside down and shake and press hard, and I get it out tiny drop by tiny drop. And I don’t even use a lot of such foundations on my face. Good color match, but I never want the hassle.

On the subject of Supergoop… it’s terrible. All of it. But honestly, so much American sunscreen is not ideal… too expensive, too greasy, not great under makeup (which is a MUST). Which is why I think you doing an in-depth Asian sunscreen video would be doing a great service to this community. They are SOOO far ahead of us in sunscreen technology! I have been using Korean sunscreen exclusively, every day, and will never go back.

Ps the Guerlain OMG ... Full disclosure I was in a "mood" and decided to watch and glad. I don't love Black Honey, I have fair skin with olive undertones I swear it looks invisible on me, so I can never figure out what it is and they say "it'll look different on everyone" and yeah......obviously it's invisible on me. To circle back I love the Guerlain case and purple and white and ... it's like they made the shadows and thought "how can we sell it" and someone said "we'll make it a work of art!!!" Ps I guess it's an "art gimmick" or a gift to someone who loves purple, white, black and not fire engine red! I love D&G omg I love them, they are my fav designer in ways but yes it's like someone thought "let's put them on angle and no one will see they aren't fiting" or something...i wanted it, could not force myself to get it. Shades awesome ... actually I'd expect Paco Rabanne maybe to do it in Silver Metallic and fairly sure would look better but looks poorly done, weird. Tell me what you really think!!

To be honest was surprised everyone made a big deal about Patrick Ta duo eye shadow as to me it was a rip off of Paco Rabanne ...except they squared the edges off. Goopy not sure what that means tho maybe the pink in the ND Face Palette that ppl complain about but its a great product. Looks a bit "eww" so maybe goopy but it is one of my favorite pink creamy something not sure how you describe it ...okay Goopy. Gucci 100% if it wasn't Gucci ppl would hate it. That said I didn't hate it but it's exactly as you said "MEH" unless u are the person who barely likes color. I'll add the small Soft Peach 10 Gucci Blush is perfect for a light look, never harsh but you can see it...............unlike the eye shadow ;) Its at Sephora, used % & points was spluge but excellent.

I saved slot of money on cosmetics this year. Very disappointed most especially in Chanel. So tired of the red and other useless colors that are unflattering. Also the giant compacts are too expensive and you can't use it up before you get bored or it expires. Also tired of glitter and cheap plastic compacts on items that cost 75.00 and up. Hope 2025 will bring natural beauty enhancing cosmetics for real women.

I’ll say it again, Guerlian Pucci case beautiful, eyeshadows are ugly. When you reviewed this I had said it’s too bad it’s not refillable because I really might have purchased for the case. And I really NEVER do that. Rest of list, can’t really disagree with any of it. I only own the WA pods and you’re right, I don’t seem to reach for them. Thought very pretty and excited to get but meh 🫤
