The term CHARTERED means, based on a Charter, that charter is applicable within a country only. A Professional accountant under a regulation of such Chartered Body is called a CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT. Main difference between CA & ACCA is CA is more suitable within a country, but ACCA is designed for entire world. Companies incorporated in countries having no Professional Accounting Body regulated by that Country's Charter, will prefer global professionals such as ACCA/ CPA. Companies incorporated in a country like India will prefer a CA for some engagements which reserved only for Indian CAs, others cant do. Those who want to settle anywhere outside India can prefer globally accepted courses such as ACCA/ CPA/ CMA etc. those who plans to settle in their home country can prefer Constitution based courses. A person qualified from ACCA can designate himself as CHARTERED CERTIFIED ACCOUNTANT which means ACCA body is approved not only by the Royal Charter of UK but also globally acceptable except Country specified engagements which is notified only for CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS.

@@CoolWithTyb91 If this is the quality of your English - trust me ( and also remember me for saying this!)you will have a real uphill battle passing ICAEW exams- if you are truly doing it as you claim . Cos unlike ACCA /CIMA it is very hard to get away with LUCID English with ICAEW - ICAEW heavily penalizes for poor quality English . It is very unfortunate that people like you and me not having native English language skills facing this with ICAEW - but that is the HARSH reality- even if you happen to make your way somehow in the technical papers , final will be a big ask with language skills playing a big role.

Hi hope your well. I am just finishing my uni degree in accounting and finance. I have only realised now that I don't get exemptions from Acca and get 9 exemptions from acca and some from cima. I am not wanting it into management accounting so I would assume I wouldn't pick CIMA, and I am moving towards acca. I was just wondering any ideas of how long it would usually take to do the aca exams that usually students get exemptions for when leaving uni? The interviewee incorrectly states that the syllabus is same for CA and ACCA .. He has only studied CA inter however, his statement that knowledge he's acquired from CA inter is sufficient for ACCA professional papers is rightly said . One cannot compare CA inter to CA final because of the syllabus, coverage, subjects, vastness etc.. Now the bigger question, how do I know this ?? I'm an Indian CA and an ACCA qualified.. After studying CA final I used to prepare for ACCA with just 10-15 days at most for each professional papers and cleared all ACCA papers in first shot ..

Why do ACCA and ICAEW coexist? Just because of the flexibility that is offered in ACCA students are switching to it. But does that mean ICAEW or ICAI are going to be irrelevant? And if the passing percentage is higher in ACCA doesn't that make the supply of professionals higher leading to giving more power to employers to dictate the salary? I don't know why Indian STUDENTS think that u are going to be better off out of India and looking for different certifications now, probably the Fancy Name London/Australia gives u a feel of cozy lifestyle 😏. I would say Start your own firm, get into Tax filing and charge monthly to your customers. I have seen people making the same amount of money or probably more than what the gullu in the video might be making in London. The salary range given by ACCA page for Londoners is max around £40k which if I talk about the lifestyle expenses of London and rent you will be paying won't be enough for you. You'll just cling to pay for your mortgage with your salary, If your wife is not earning too. Better start in India in a Metro city like Delhi where there will be endless customers for you and low monthly expenses to pay for and if you will compare the savings each month with a London ACCA after his expenses each Month you will find him at par with u. Our CA is about to buy another property he's just 31. His firm Files tax for my fathers Construction firm, preparing financials. Has maybe more than 100 customers and a team of people working for him. I always say this if you wish to do a business No palace is better than India. If the job is what you are looking for move to Europe or West. These are the places where human life's are valued and paid fairly but expenses are rising through out the world and properties including quality of life are getting expensive. Make your decision wisely!
