Truly thankful to Jamal Rashdi saheb for giving this priceless gift to all the Mehdi Hassan sb, lovers and to you, Suman ji, for uploading it ! Rightly said, this is one of the finest performances of Khan saheb, in any mehfil, that i have also heard so far ! He added a new dimension to the lyrical beauty of this ghazal, bringing out the entire repertory of his classical wizardry, singing with such beautiful variations and nuances. What an artistry of words, just like the strokes of a brush by a painter on his canvas, creating powerful images ! Heart touching kalaam of Jigar Moradabadi.....Teri khushi se agar gham mein bhi khushi na huyi.... Ye zindagi to mohabbat ki zindagi na huyi .. Khayaal-e-yaar, salaamat tujhe khuda rakhe .. tere bagair phir kabhi, ghar mein roshni na huyi ... Saba ye un se hamara payaam keh dena ...Gaye ho jab se yahaa.n, subah-o-shaam hi na huyi...! Poets know how to finesse words into an emotion filled passage, capable of having an impact on the hardest of 💕 The more I hear him, the more I am attracted like a magnet to his charismatic voice and inimitable style of singing ! His charisma had always left the audience mesmerized ! No matter what the weather, Khan sb, always brings sunshine with his divine singing ! Soak in the blissful rendition of this legendary singer and the superb tabla vaadan of Pir Baksh ! Another jewel of lyrical beauty, music and exemplary singing! OMG! Ye toh alaap sunke lag raha hai ki Khan Sahib Mehdi Hassan ghazal nahi....khayal ga rahe hain! Aur jab ghazal start hua tab Maine sochte rahe Gaya......kya yeh ghazal hai or kya main Raag Madhuvanti mein vilambit bandish sun raha hoon. Maine bahut gayak ko suna.....jinko raagon ke upar behad command tha or hai......lekin un singers ko sanmanpurbak bol raha hoon ki jab woh singers kisi raagon ki upar improvise karte the ....toh Kavita aur lyrics ka beauty Thora compromised hota tha. Lekin maze ki baat ye hai ki is ashcharya gayak chahe kisi raag ke upor jitna bhi improvise kar le.....ghazal ka maza kabhi kharab nehi hota tha. Shayad duniya mein aisa art sirf Khan Sahib ko hi hasil tha. Peer Baksh Sahib ka tabla vadan Khan Sahib ka gayaki ko aur bhi bahugunit kar diya. Shukriya Sumanji....aap jaise sangeetpremi bahut Kam dekhe hum. May God bless you.
