एक सत्य अन्वेषी के रूप में आपकी वर्णनात्मक शैली अनुपम है। आपका शोध कर मौलिकता पेश करने का अंदाज लाजवाब है शर्मा साहिब। मीना कुमारी जी का जन्म ही शायद शोषित और उत्पीड़ित होने के लिए ही हुआ था। उनके पिता उन्हें जन्म के बाद अनाथालय में छोड़ने चले गए थे किंतु फिर अपराध बोध से ग्रसित होकर उन्हें वापस घर ले आए। मीना कुमारी के अभिनय कौशल के तो सभी कायल हैं लेकिन उनका अत्यधिक जज्बाती होना ही शायद उनकी सबसे ज्यादा कमजोरी थी जिसका सभी ने भरपूर फायदा उठाया। चाहे वो कमाल अमरोही हो, धर्मेंद्र हो, सावन कुमार टांक हो या फिर गुलज़ार, सभी उनके जज्बातों से खेलते रहे। उन्हें शराब की लत लगा दी और यहां तक कि कर्जा चुकाने के लिए उन्हें मुमताज को अपना घर तक बेचना पड़ा। उनकी आखिरत तो और भी खराब रही जब लीवर सिरोसिस नामक बीमारी से लाइलाज उनकी मौत हो जाने पर भुगतान के अभाव में उनको शव को ले जाने के लिए भी अस्पताल प्रशासन ने अनुमति देने से मना कर दिया। फूल और पत्थर, परिणीता, एक ही रास्ता, साहिब, बीबी और गुलाम, प्यार का सागर, दिल अपना और प्रीत पराई, चिराग कहां रोशनी कहां, बहारों की मंजिल, बहू बेगम, नूरजहां, मेरे अपने, दुश्मन, यहूदी, आज़ाद, कोहिनूर, पाकीजा, बेनज़ीर, भीगी रात, भीगी रात और काजल जैसी यादगार फिल्मों में अपने बेमिसाल और बेहतरीन अभिनय का सबको दीवाना बनाकर वे सिर्फ ४० वर्ष की अल्पायु में ही हम सबको छोड़ कर इस दुनियां ए फानी से कूच कर गई। ऐसी लाजवाब शख्सियत को हजारों सलाम।

Oh, come on, there was no affair between them, that is what Kamal Amrohi thought it to be, that is why she proposed those three conditions in front of her, which she agreed to but then posting his secretary around her make up room just to see nobody entered there was just too much. Meena Kumari and Gulzar were just friends because they shared the same passion for urdu poems, but nothing more then that. When Meena Kumari was at her peak, she was already married and Gulzar was a nobody, why would she have an affair with a nobody.

शुक्ला जी, प्रेमेंद्र जी तो अब नहीं रहे लेकिन परसों ही उनके छोटे भाई से बात हुई, जो अपने पैतृक शहर फतेहपुर सीकरी में रहते हैं। संयोग से प्रेमेंद्र जी का बेटा भी इन दिनों वहीं है, उनसे भी बात हुई, हालांकि वो मुंबई में रहते हैं और इस महीने के आख़िर में मुंबई लौटने वाले हैं। दोनों से काफ़ी जानकारी मिली लेकिन उनके बेटे से मिलकर पुरानी तस्वीरें और कुछ और जानकारी लेना बाक़ी है। उम्मीद है अगले महीने तक उनपर लेख और वीडियो प्रकाशित कर पाऊंगा।

I was once employed @ Shree Sound Studios, It was located at Dadar( East) there was an AROMA Hotel a Guest house @ also there was a restaurant below, next lane was the studio, two bldg away was the famous Chitra cinema..Opp the Studio there was another famous restaurant called GUPTA RESTAURANT, also side they had Gupta Soaps ..I met Mr Mehmood many times at the studio..very jovial personality..used to smoke a lot ..those times I saw him driving a imported Car & Actress Meena Kumari was in the car..that time I had heard that Mehmood was married to Actress Meena Kumari younger sister ..Mehmood had this habit of pulling jokes on each & everyone..nobody was offended that time ..Great Actor & natural comedian..this is news to me as first time I heard this ..thanks

@@ShishirKrishnaSharma Accurate description..Ranjit Studio was at the end of this lane going towards Dadar station..also there was Roop Tara studio on the way to the Dadar Rly station east ..now many small shops selling live Chicken's are in this lane ..I haven't been there for almost 4 years ..as I was aboard..I arrived in Mumbai in 2017 from Abu Dhabi..I think I once wrote a comment on your U tube channel when I read ur narrative on the case history of making the film Teesri Kasam..Produce by the well-known lyrics writer Shalindra ..Raj Kapoor used to call him Kavi Raj..Mr Shalindra was a poet from Bihar or Uttar Pradesh..The Film had Mehmood Saab as the Bullock-Cart owner with Meena Kumari as the main heroine..later Meenaji dropped out of the film & was replaced by Nutan, then Nutan got married after filming around 6 cans of reels ..Kaviraj lost lot of money on this film..Raj Kapoor time & again discouraged Shalindra that the native village story will not run in Bombay as its had Bhojupuri language in it .thou Raj Kapoor didn't know the script..Raj Kapoor wanted Shalindra to write the lyrics of his colour film SANGAM..so while on the way to Raj farm in Pune along with Shalindra he heard the story & agreed to act in the film..but Raj Kapoor kept on delaying the shooting this took almost 3 years or more to complete the film as Raj Kapoor used to fly out of India to shoot his own film..the song Dost Dost na raha was written by Shalindra for Raj Kapoor in Sangam for back stabbing Shalindra..this round of news was going on in the canteen of Shree Sound studios when I was employed as a production assistant for Mr Kardar the movie producer

Kamal Amrohi was already an established screenplay- and dialogue-writer, director and producer while Meena Kumari was still struggling and acted in C-grade stunt or mythological films In this episide that you covered, perhaps Meena Kumari unwittingly became the casualty between clash of egos of these two men. (Actually Baqar, Kamal's secretary, was the culprit. He should have been terminated.) In this incident, Mahmood should have taken the high road, and helped patch up Meena-Kamal's marriage. Who knows a grateful Kamal, impressed by Mahmood's magnanimity, might have sought his forgiveness, and, Mahmood would have still come out a winner but in a positive light! I never liked Mahmood and detested his unclean "humor," vulgar gestures, and delivery of dialogues with double meaning.। hold him solely responsible for promoting vulgarity on the Indian Silver Screen-- something the late Johnny Walker (and others) categorically refused to do. JW chose to bid farewell to the films (as he had said in several of his interviews, without naming names) for which I hold him in the highest esteem.🙏

Mehmood had his own petty complexes as well. He fell out with his own brother, throwing him out on the streets, expected his proteges/discoveries to always be subservient to him (read: Amitabh Bachchan) much like Kamal Amrohi. And in a way, Amrohi's words proved right. Mehmood never did become a successful leading man (not even like Govinda or Kishore Kumar who excelled in comedy as leads) but was a comedian in the character actor realm for the most part.
